Soooo...as many of you know, I DON’T often SHARE my AWARDS. I’m just not MOTIVATED by them at all. Actually, they’re all buried in my storage unit. 🤨 This year, I’m feeling DIFFERENT so here it goes... In addition to my sales production award (top 5% in the country), I was awarded @maxbroockrealtors ENTREPRENEUR of the YEAR 💫 I’m SUPER THANKFUL that I LANDED in a business and at an ORGANIZATION @realestateone (our parent company), that allows me to constantly REINVENT myself, to TAKE RISKS, to BE REALLY CREATIVE and that keeps CHALLENGING me every day of the week. The different PEOPLE I get to meet, the SPACES, the crazy strong ENERGY that surrounds me DAILY. I started in real estate sales when I was 18 YEARS OLD, working with a DEVELOPER. I held OPEN HOUSES for an hourly rate and earned a $1000 BONUS for any walk-in that lead to a SALE. Not bad for a TEENAGER, right? One day I was sitting in the model house extremely BORED so I decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. 🚶🏼‍♀️As I was walking, I began to COUNT the empty lots. 1, 2, 3, 4 and so on...suddenly those NUMBERS changed to THOUSANDS in my head-the BONUSES! 💰My DREAM was to move to NYC or San Francisco to study FASHION MERCHANDISING 👠👚 ( and I had to PAY for it SOMEHOW). As soon as I got off work that day, I RAN to Borders Book Store 📚 and DRAINED my little bank account on every REAL ESTATE book I could find. The next day, I grabbed my highlighter and began to LEARN. I would PRACTICE the scrips and TECHNIQUES on EVERY person that walked into the DOOR. That summer, I closed 5 sales and I met 5 LOVELY family’s that appreciated my WORK ETHIC and DEDICATION. I remember receiving a “thank you” letter that made me feel so PROUD and HAPPY. 💞Not just to have earned my bonus, but to HELP them through the JOURNEY of buying the HOME of their DREAMS. Still working towards my goal of a career in FASHION, I MOVED to San Francisco to start my studies. As a young girl, I always IMAGINED myself LIVING in a CITY.
