So, a funny observation, with the boys' new snack puzzle. Where they gotta pull off little lids, to get to the treats underneath

Had a chance to observe today and… turns out it's only Baron who figures it out. Like with other puzzles, his brothers simply sniffs around and then give up. While Baron gets the snacks all to himself one by one XDD

Only chance the others got of tasting the treats, is by Baron often running off with the lid first, for his hoard of stolen goods. Then rushes back to claim the exposed treat, before any of the others notice.

Oh such a silly yet also very clever boy, my Baron.

I'll never get tired of sneaking up on my boys, to catch them looking cute snoozing in their cage!

Always difficult to find. He's a digger, he doesn't sleep out in the open like his brothers, if he can avoid it.

Latest upgrade to my boys' Mischief Mansion!

Just trying to refresh things now and again, while keeping it practical and fun. Found some things in ikea I've seen other rat owners online put to good use. So far my boys seem to approve, and that's all that matters!

New snack puzzle for the boys! Couldn't catch them in the act of solving it, but of course did see Baron being the first to figure it out. Clever lil man.

Something to help keep them busy, while I clean their cage!

*Sigh*

My boys kept gnawing apart the sheet I used to cover the bottom bars of the cage and contain the bedding. So now the bedding is in a box, that they can dig through all to their hearts content. And I now cover the bottom bars with mats.

But Sir still insists on sleeping directly on those bars, one way or another.

But if it isn't this, it's the poop box used as his personal bed.

I'm not sure which is worse/better.

i know your moondrop is bald up the top of his head but what about sunrise and solar?, do they like got some peach fuzz on their little head petals or are they also technically bald? And if their any reason they can't grow hair specifically on their head or are they just shaving

Technically, none of them are bald bald, but the back of their heads (and the petals on Sun and Solar) are covered in a very fine fluff. I've compared the texture of the rays/petals to rats' tails. The back of their heads is covered in similar soft fluff that isn't really visible unless you look really closely.
