I think those ranters of TLJ are missing the point of this new trilogy.

Firstly, I am a Star Wars Fan prior to associating myself in loving the dynamic of Rey and Kylo.

To me its momumental that Disney/Lucasfilm approved of having a dark and light user have this extraordinary connection, which is not adversarial for a change, but rather have a passionate unexplanable mutual understanding for each other. And to use that to explore the BALANCE they have continuously talked about for the last 2 trilogies is just mind blowing and exciting as a Star Wars fan. Dark and light understanding each other and fighting together!!!!! How amazing is that? And the common thread linking both is love, hope, understanding, forgiveness, and kindness. ISNT THIS WHAT STAR WARS IS ABOUT? I know its adventure, science fiction, etc, but the central values/themes of the series are still those.

And finally, a true exploration of the Balance they are talking about in this whole Star Wars universe is being shown!! Isnt that what we have been wanting to know? What the fuck is this balance? They are about to explore the real Jedi order, starting from the mention of those books and the images, which could be what they call Gray(wiki says)/Grey Jedi and sort of giving a clear idea that too much light is not the balance they seek. HOW EXCITING IS THIS? Havent you been all secretly rooting for the dark side users? Come on, admit it! Darth Maul doesnt ring a bell?

I know some fans are pissed due to some reasons i understand, but please give it a chance. I know this is not how you wanted it to be, but this still an exploration of the Jedi/Star Wars lore we love. I know some dont like the romantic connotation it brings, or suddenly this isnt the OG’s story, but this is how it is. Love is a binding force for all things, and its not that bad of a thought is it? And its time for the new generation to rise,  but not to disregard what was laid before them, but to use it to strengthen what they are to become. 

Lastly, i love this movie because its so opt to what is currently happening in the world. Too much self proclaimed “good guys”, self righteous, wolf in sheep’s clothing, and “bad guys” who to me were left no choice to make the wrong decisions because of what the society and the government has led them to do. Its a reflection of the wars we face in the real world. 

TLJ is a good movie, please give it a chance.

Elites of Eden release day!

It’s nearly 9am here in England as I’m writing this and there’s a certain atmosphere about today that’s making me feel all emotional and bubbly.

Its release day for Elites Of Eden!!! I’m more than excited to get lost in the world of Eden all over again and meet the new characters and fall in love with the plot all of again. Children Of Eden took me to a place of complete wonder that I couldn’t stop thinking about for weeks. You bet it’s going to be the exact same with Elites Of Eden.

I’m forever proud of Joey and what he creates. Back in 2012, I never would have thought that Joey would release merch, books and jewellery but fast forward a few years and he’s accomplished all of that.

I’m so excited for Elites Of Eden and I’m ready for it to sit alongside it’s sister on the shelf looking beautiful in all of its glory. I’m so proud of you @joeygraceffa and I can’t wait to lose myself in the world of Eden all over again💖

Trigger warning- child abuse. Spending time cuddling this silly goose today. Last night, for the first time, I woke up and hyperventilated. I had a horrific dream that I’d left her with an unknown babysitter (obv would never do) and they’d abused her. People don’t talk much about child abuse because it’s distressing but, I was very badly physically abused by my stepmother (not the amazing gorgeous one I have now) for 8 years from 7-15 and as that level of abuse would, its traumatised me. Whilst child abuse isn’t the norm (thank god), it does happen and I think I’d like to talk about it more. Nobody helped me because they didn’t want to seem nosey or thought it wasn’t their place. As the child with broken ribs and bruises carefully left where clothes would hide them, I wouldn’t have cared if someone had been nosey or stepped in. I wasn’t in a position where I could help myself, abusers are incredibly controlling and manipulative- I needed other people to help me. I’m not a victim of my abuser but I’m still, on occasion, effected by her and what she did to me. If you suspect someone is being abused, mistreated, whatever you want to call it, speak up. Talk to people. You can email the samaritans or confidentially call childline. After a good cry and a lot of love from Liam, I feel ok. Not great because what’s usually deeply buried feels very fresh, but ok and ready to enjoy my day, because I can, because she didn’t win. I did. I don’t care if Hillary Clinton is corrupt. I don’t care if she lies, if she cheats, if she eats bowls of newborn chipmunks for breakfast.

She is literally the only thing standing in the way of a fascist dictator becoming President of the United States with a Republican majority congress that guarantees he can do anything he wants and nothing will be able to stop him.

I was and still am a Bernie supporter, and I hate a lot of things about Clinton, but none of that matters anymore. If Trump is elected, people are going to die. Women are going to die when Roe v Wade is overturned and Planned Parenthood is defunded. LGBTQ people are going to die when conversion therapy is further legalized and more bathroom bills are passed. POC are going to die as Trump rounds up Mexican immigrants, gives more power to the police, and fuels the fires of Islamaphobia. Poor people are going to die as Obamacare gets overturned and further cuts are made to welfare programs. And that’s just in this country. That’s not even taking account the all-too-likely outcomes of Trump starting new wars in the Middle East and having control of nuclear bombs that he’s said he ‘would not rule out’ using.

This is no longer even about ‘the lesser of two evils’. This is not ‘scare tactics’. This is literally life and death. Don’t fuck around and tell me you’re voting third-party or not voting at all, because you don’t have that luxury.

The official Republican platform includes banning abortion, overturning marriage equality, no background checks for purchasing guns, declaring coal “clean energy”, religion used as a guide for legislation, a border wall, and pornography declared a “public menace”.
