Thinking about Luclilith sick days and it's so adorable.

When Lucifer is sick, it's usually due to his own overestimation of his ability to NOT get sick. Like the prideful perfect bastard he is. He'd deny it at first, but Lilith knew this man since the creation of earth, she can tell when he's sick. So she pampers him and basically 'tricks' him into stying in bed all day and focus on recovery. She has to check up on him of course, else he gets suspicious that he's being tricked into doing nothing (which he is). That, and she loves her husband.

And then we have Lilith when she's sick. Absolute disaster of a mess at the very start. Lilith being productive and a spokesperson for Hell, I think she'd be a bit of a workaholic. She'd be in denial at first. "I'm not sick, this is just a cold, I'm not sick, I just had a bad night", but Lucifer clocks it for once because part of his pride and joy IS Lilith, so once he realises, you can see this manlet just try to wrestle his Wife to bed as she's desperatley trying to reach the desk to continue writing on her speech.

In the end he'd get her to stay in bed whenever he utters accidental good advice like: 'I just want you to get better properly, is that so wrong?'. She'd realise part of her responsibility is to know when to chill out. Of course, she'd be very suspicuios of things getting taken care of, and Lu is not the... *best* when it comes to handling everything she does, and Lilith has to often look over everything he's done after she's recovered... but he's doing his best taking care of her, and that he's actually doing.

Bonus: Mini Charlie would get a little extra clingy the first few times they got sick. She'd crawl into bed asking for bedtime stories to whoever's sick. As she matured, she thinks it's one of those moments that makes her see just how much they loved eachother. Best belive that when Charlie gets sick, all hell breaks lose lol, Lilith is *acting* calm and rational, but internally she's worried a lot, and is so close to throwing a panicked fit because Lucifer is *overfreaking* over it. Needless to say, Lucifer takes care of Charlie, and Lilith calls like... every 10 minutes to see how she's doing. A stark contrast to how things are now

-"greed has no redeeming qualities " this is a very bold take and a weakest claim about the 7 sins i have ever seen..Every sin stems from a distroted virtue. Pride fron self worth lust from desire for connection wrath from sense of justice. And greed from a desire for security or success if you remove the distraction there is a core that can be natural or even prodctive so saying greed has 0 redeeming aspects only works if you define it as excess that harms others.

" thats why the ring of greed is filthy and unsafe and full of crime" if you really applied that logic to other sins then lust ring should be filled with exploitation envy ring full of sabotage wrath is full with nonstop violence pride ring is authoritarian and oppressive, so why does greed get the grimm-codded environment?thats narrative favoritism i say.

-"Wrath, envy and pride complement eachother is how destructive they are." okay yeah- but why aren't they treated with the same moral finality?why is greed singled as the most irredeemable while others get their aesthetic complexity or charm? if destructive is the meteric, envy and pride can be just as catastrophic historically and psychologically.

I see some hypocrisy in preferring some sins to others, because sin technically does not imply anything creative; our destructive intentions must be controlled, while sin itself is a consequence of loss of this control, as well as selfishness and thoughtless behavior, and that is why it's very funny to hear that Lust (the thirst for satisfaction of one's desire) is better than Greed (which is actually almost the same thing?)? Sins merge between each other

and even if you turn Sins into full-fledged characters... it's strange to compare and condemn them from human point of morality, like, WHY this should be a thing in their case if they are immoral?

Thank you so much guys for all the inspiration! I got sooo many wonderful ideas that I’m gonna be working on (gonna stay busy thanks to you all lol).

I decided to begin by combining the three suggestions above into a short comic. As I read through the asks the idea just developed beautifully in my head and I just had to do it 😝

Also gotta clarify, I dont believe Val would actually "multitask" while in front of his baby. He was just in such a rush about getting there to not miss his baby's first steps he did not consider any implications lol.

Hot on @static-alice-art ‘s heels and their recent AU art of Voxpress Val and Vox, here’s my silly take on their first meeting.

This morning I woke up to yet another banger I needed a moment to process before I could respond.

Because you keep surprising me with this wonderful art in the best ways possible. 👀👀

This comic just nails so hard the dynamics I’ve tried to set up so far, even though I still haven’t shared as much as I would have wanted to for now.

You captured the nature of VP!Valentino so well, love how his menace is measured and territorial without coming off as tantrums.

And this line:

“Guess this exhibit is going to have a performance element”

Oh man yes! That’s my boy! My violence as performance driven boy!

That panel where he approaches Vox, the way his eye symbol is staring at him, the dramatic contrast 😩😩😩 oooh!

And don’t get me started on Vox, man is just so nonchalant and folding Val by dissecting his artwork with genuine appreciation. You know what, I’d fold too!

I love the way you depicted their dynamic so much!

If these two met when they were both Overlords that’s exactly how it will go!

It genuinely makes me happy to see that people are showing interest in this setting and start drawing their own plot speculations. Even if it’s not exactly how I intend for things to play out it’s so interesting to see how other people perceive the concept already, not to mention, it encourages me to also look at aspects of the story and characters I realise I might have overlooked. This comic in particular now encourages me to think more deeply about how Vox engages with art that Valentino creates.

Can we all agree that the reason Baxter originally went to the hotel to 'study redemption and prove it was impossible', was because he was mourning Pentious. Like, imagine your ex-partner, friend, maybe something more, died live on TV. Just absolutely obliterated by angelic power and you're devastated because you never had the chance to reconcile with him, to reconnect, to apologise. And now, to top it all off, there's this woman running around who he supposedly gave his life to protect, claiming that there is a chance of getting into Heaven, claiming that he didn't die in vain, claiming that his sacrifice meant something. Shit, I'd show up too.

Just a little follow up scene after the hotel gang finds out about Vax 😁

Of course they would send Angel as their spy to check on the baby's well-being. And Angie knows exactly what to tell Valentino to get him on his good side. Everyone was surprised to learn the Vees are actually doing a decent job taking care of a baby, they were ready to go all Mission Impossible on that tower to rescue him 😂

On this AU, I'm picturing that by having Angel babysit Vax, Valentino will actually start treating Angie better.

Being a parent is actually helping him deal with some of his issues lol.

Finally did the rehaul of Val for the AU, because I wasn’t content with his characterisation at all, but two weeks ago the vision finally clicked and now I feel like I have the character I can actually enjoy working with.

Re-introducing VoxPress Valentino: Former mercenary with fondness for art and soft/feminine coded things, who chose power and strength to be able to express it openly. Violence for Valentino is a tool to keep himself unquestioned by others.

Uses his influence to run clubs, art shows, expos that attract a lot of attention due to his well learned ability to aestheticise violence.

For Vox he’s a muscle of the Vees and high-risk/high-reward asset that can open the doors Vox himself cannot always reach, thanks to Val’s street smarts, underground connections and intimate knowledge of crime world.
