can i say something crazy?
i think they did it on purpose. the whole thing with epstein going to prison. it feels like he was exposed intentionally, especially if he had started blackmailing powerful people (which he did by the way if you read the files). in that sense, they didn’t really lose anyone. they just removed a potential threat so they could keep hiding in plain sight.
it also seems like the people who hold the most power were never truly exposed. the names in the files feel more like pawns or scapegoats. they're probably laughing at us while they party in an island with their new epstein.
if this were like squid game, epstein is more like the recruiter. the one playing ddakji, pulling people in. while the ones actually running everything stay hidden in the background. and if this were like squid game, they probably have playgrounds in different parts of the world.
and they are playing you by making you think he's alive but they don't care about the recruiter. they want you distracted. you're distracted. they succeeded

Ruin The Friendship
-Taylor Swift
The elegance of decay, the poetry of silence.
the whole world’s busy overthrowing governments and fighting for their lives. and america’s still busy cancelling pop stars. peak civilization
it's really simple. taylor’s new album is like that hoodie you either love or don’t. if you like it, you’ll get every color. if you don’t, you won’t even bother. it’s not that deep. people get mad when others like an artist they don’t because taste is tied to ego. if someone loves what they hate, it feels like we're challenging their identity. but it’s really not that deep. it’s wild how people turned liking Taylor Swift into a moral or race debate. y'all can’t just say “her music’s not for me”. you have to make it about privilege, whiteness, or who deserves to be popular. she mentions a lover's ex-significant other and you guys twisted it into Taylor Swift hating black people. people are so evil that they'd twist things just to make the people they hate look bad. she doesn't have an issue with anyone's race. the person being mentioned just happened to be black. but it's so easy to twist it and take it out of context. haters don't care about the truth. they just want the people they hate gone and they'll do anything for that to happen. it stopped being about the music a long time ago. people can’t handle that something can be loved just because it connects. not everything has to be a culture war. people turned liking Taylor Swift into a social issue. it’s not politics. it’s pop music.
also, “all her music sounds the same.”
okay, but that’s a you problem. who exactly are you exposing? synth pop and pop rock don’t sound the same. pop and country are completely different genres. it doesn’t matter if you think the lyrics are bad or the melodies don’t make sense. the point is, they sound different. if you can’t tell the difference between pop and country, maybe you’re not qualified to give music opinions. take into consideration that maybe the artist is not bad. maybe you just have bad ears. y'all have too big of an ego for suck a small d*ck.
things have always been this shitty. we just didn’t see it live in action before. people had public breakdowns long before twitter and tiktok, but now every meltdown gets filmed and shared. governments were always corrupt, the internet just made it easier to connect the dots on their lies and manipulation. poverty was always brutal, but instead of hearing about one neighborhood in one newspaper, we’re seeing the same housing, wage, and food struggles across the world. workplace exploitation was always normal, but now receipts spread too fast for them to cover it up. police violence have always been a thing, but cameras and live feeds made it impossible to deny their brutality. medical neglect and the unfair healthcare system used to be local myths, now timelines and leaked docs let us trace how policies fail people.
the scams, the government and the shady corporations have always taken advantage of people. the racism, the misogyny, the homophobia, the cruelty, the rallies and the political assasinations were a thing long before the internet. being online didn't create the problems, it just exposed them. we see them as they're happening now. it made it harder for us to avoid said problems. it forced us to take actions and take accountability.
it's such a privilege to say, "life was way better before the internet". people suffered before the internet. your privilege and entitlement just made you blind from them. but now the curtains are off. and you finally get to see the shit show the rest of us have been forced to live on.
