The bruise is forming on her cheek from the hit she received, and her eyes have been glossed over with tears for the past hour. Her  Aunt Kate and Uncle Chris have finally decided to give her some time alone, where she asked to speak to Janet’s mom, JJ. She  isn’t sure what to say, but she knows she has to say something.

Meg's vision is still blurry as she comes to, but when she does, she immediately looks at Janet, and focuses on the elder girl's voice. She was sitting in between Janet and Markayla, and she bit on her lip when she noticed the zip ties on all of their hands.

Lips pressed into a straight line at Meg’s lack of acknowledgement. The girl showed a great amount of love and respect for her aunt and uncle but wasn’t responding to the reassurances that they still loved her. Before she could comment though, Meg was focusing on JJ’s previous statement. 

“Oh..well, Henry and Alexis going to be older siblings too.”

She feels her heart fill with joy as she realizes what JJ meant. Why didn’t she feel this way when Kate told her she was pregnant, too? Either way, she was happy for the blonde. Opening her arms to offer a hug.

“Yes,” JJ nods as she looks up at the teenage niece of Kate’s that she did not completely know well enough at the moment but wanted to get to know better. “I am pregnant.”

There's a small smile, and she isn't sure if she should offer the blonde a hug or not, so she just rocks awkwardly on her heels.

♀ Could they sleep without checking if there were monsters under the bed? (GO AND MAKE ME CRY)

❛ Meg was one of the easiest babies in the world to take care of. She was an absolute blessing to me and her father. We both, unfortunately, weren’t physically around by the time she was able to worry about monsters under her bed, but I’ve always kept my eye on her. And I can tell you that for about a year, from 5 to 6, Meg would refuse to fall asleep without a nightly monster check by Chris and my sister, Kate. If Meg didn’t think they did a good job, she would go into their room and wiggle her way in between the two of them and sleep there. It was one of the cutest things to watch all three of them. If they did do a satisfactory job, Meg would sleep like a rock. Watching them always reminds me that my baby is in wonderful hands. ❜

Chuckling the blonde wrapped her arms loosely around the petite teenager and pulled Meg softly closer. One hand resting on her back, the other at the back of Meg’s head. “Is today world hug day?”JJ asked happily.

A smile spreads across the teen's face and she tightens the hug before letting go.

         ❝ I thought that you wanted to call us Kate and Chris.              Sweetie, I am sorry you don’t have your mother and               dad to call them those things but if you want to call              Chris and I mom and dad we would not mind.❞ She wished that she could skip forward in their lives for a moment to show Meg that she was going to be a great big sister.

              ❝It will take time for the jealousy leave for the most                part but even with you being jealous of the baby you will                still have love him or her without even having to think about                 it. You will care of the child even with having those feelings               and that is what being a big sister is about. Caring about the               sibling no matter what.❞

Her eyes glass over with tears, and she wants to get up and run out of the room. Her left hand starts fiddling with the charm on the necklace she always wears. Getting up from her seat at her desk, Meg quickly heads towards the door but stops when she reaches the doorway.
