Camotes Island (Timubo Cave, Lake Danao Park, Bukilat Cave, Buho Rock, Santiago White Beach)
Camotes Trip (April 28-29, 2018)
So here I will share all about our trip to Camotes Island, Cebu, Philippines! 😄
So me and my friends finally colored our Camotes drawing.
First is we rode a jeepney from SM Cebu near sungold to Danao Port which cost us 35 pesos per head. There is also another option which is a Bus, you can ride in North Bus Terminal and any route going north just ask if it will pass by Danao Port. Second option is Vhire, but since we were very early like around 3am there is no Vhire at this time that is why we chose jeepney.
When we arrived at Danao port, the struggle is real. Since it’s peak season there are many passengers 😱 our 5:30AM plan to ride the boat turned to 11:30AM. See the time difference? 🤣 So my advice is book a ticket at Jomalia office in Mandaue. This is from Danao port to Consuelo, Camotes.
But there are also other options, there is a boat going to Poro, but at that moment their first trip was 10AM and it will take you 2 and a half hour to arrive at Poro. And another one is from Pier 1 in Cebu City (so you no longer need to travel from Cebu to Danao) but the regular fare here is 500 pesos which is times two if you ride from Danao.
The fare from Danao to Consuelo is 220 for regular and 250 for aircon. Terminal fee is not included. This is for Jomalia lines.
Finally, after 2 hours we finally arrive! Here is a shot of us at Consuelo Port.
When we arrived at Consuelo, the owner of the room we rented already took care of our transportation from the port to their house. So my advice is book a room first because you will never know. 🤣
The owner is very accommodating, my friend was the one who booked the place. The room costs us 1,800 pesos plus 150 per head in excess of 6 because the room was good for 6. This room already has its own CR and with aircon. But the only problem is their rotational brown-out.
After we settled everything, the owner helped us in renting a motorbike. We rented 3 motorbikes which costed us 500 each motorbike for 24 hours excluding fuel though.
So here are pictures of the places we went for 24 hours 🤗
1. Timubo Cave
Entrance here is 20 pesos per head. You can swim in their crystal like water. But during our time there was no electricity so we just relied on solar energy and our flashlights.
2. Lake Danao Park
The road leading to Lake Danao. The trees here looks so beautiful that’s why we stopped over and took pictures.
We paid an entrance fee of 15 pesos per head.
There are some activities here but since we arrive at 5PM we cannot enjoy all, but good thing the caretaker was good enough to let us ride. We paid 50 pesos per head for biking (LOL) around the lake.
3. Bukilat Cave
Entrance fee is 20 pesos per head. This place became more famous because of the KathNiel movie “Can’t Help Falling In Love.” My friend is a die-hard fan of Kathniel that’s why we never crossed this on our list.
4. Buho Rock
Buho rock entrance fee is 20 pesos per head. They also have food for sale there if you want to grab something to eat. The place is wonderful and if you’re a daredevil, try cliff jumping 🤣 it would probably shake your bones.
5. Santiago White Beach
Our last stop for our camotes trip. And good news, FREE ENTRANCE! Their sand is so fine and the beach is so beautiful.
Weddings are beautiful. It’s so lovely to see two lovely souls full of love promising forever in front of their loved ones. They say nothing is forever, but hey, yes! Nothing really is forever, we come and go but there’s “Till Death Do Us Part” and it’s more beautiful than saying I’ll love you forever. Now let us talk about sparks. Yeah we heard most people say that they see sparks fly whenever they see two sweet couples together. Well, hey wake up! Love is not about the sparks. Sparks fade, sweetness fade and then comes comfort and familiarity. The longer the relationship the boring it gets, yes it’s true. But it’s a matter of choice between whether you spice things up or call it quits. Love is a choice. It always is. And always will be.
