Help because I freaking hate it when I walk around in short sleeves or shorts in public and people walk up to me like 'you know you should cover those up, right?'. So I don't wanna make people uncomfortable so I wear hoodies and stuff but then my parents yell at me and say if I wanna c^t I should have the courage to walk around with them cause I must be proud of them. It's sooooo funny because I used to walk around my house with shorts and they would ask me why I wasn't covering up and tell me I was doing it for attention </3 like my bad gang I won't feel comfortable around you anymore??
I finally doodled Teddy! Even though he's my favorite, I barely draw him. I barely draw any of my favorites, actually... I don't know why? I think it's because I feel like it's an offense to them if I draw them bad 😭
One of my favorite things about Weak Hero is how it does not forgive the "innocent" bystanders for remaining silent in cases of extreme bullying.
Gray has no sympathy for his classmates who participated in mocking him and Stephen in secret,
Nor did he pity the student who vandalized his uniform shirt because Teddy Jin threatened him,
Ben yells at the three Eunjang students who witnessed Wolf's rampage,
Even Jimmy, one of the main bullies in the series disapproves when his victims would rather cower in fear than try to help their friends.
Again and again, Weak Hero tells us that being complicit in the violence and harassment around us, can be just as harmful as the act itself.
Rather than showing us the story of a victim who gets stronger to win fights with his bullies, Weak Hero encourages the characters in the background to rise up instead.
To be like Eugene, who tackled bullies who were bigger and stronger than he was, in order to stop them from hitting Gray.
To be like Rowan, who spoke up in defense of kids he didn't even know personally, like Toby and Teddy, when he saw how they were being treated.
To be like Alex, who refused to stay quiet when he heard others talking trash and spreading gossip about Ben behind his back.
The message this webcomic sends is one that isn't seen often in these stories, but feels incredibly impactful. Even if you're Weak, you can and should be a Hero, for the sake of kids like Stephan Ahn and Donald Na, who didn't have enough strength on their own when they really needed it.
Wolf doesn't get a cake because he's a loserrr (I bombed it and felt bad giving it to him) so he gets a muffin instead. Also, I lowkey didn't know what age to put because everywhere says something different so I just put 3 for his 3 second rule lmao
