This Scene Can Not be Skipped, from a book I may never write
lately, i miss you. more than i thought i could. it's not easy not talking to you, holding myself back from texting you. my soul is chaotic. making it harder to fall asleep at night. no, i don't cry over you. but i can't seem to smile either. i wonder what your absence does to me. i want to cry, let it all out. let the chaos flow out of my body through tears. but it's not so easy. almost love is truly complicated.
Rape isn’t just shouting. Screaming. Fighting back. It is so much more than that. We need to educate ourselves about the realities of it. And the prevalence of it.
“‘Hearts starve as well as bodies: Give us bread, but give us roses.’”
— James Oppenheim, quoted in The Power of Books - Val McDermid | The Scotsman
In a Garden of Withered Roses
I sit in a garden of roses,
but they're not lush and red.
Instead they're sad and shriveled
Their blooms are faded and dead.
And yet I find comfort
in seeing what I built.
For these blossoms are beautiful
Even as they wilt.
In a garden of withered roses
is where I spend my days.
For even the most beautiful things in life
will eventually fade away.
Drink some wine, read French philosophy and Russian novels, smell more roses, and watch more sunsets.

Psychosis Diagnostic Checklist
Original post made by shitborderlinesdo on tumblr. All information comes from the DSM V.
Falling into psychosis is alike going to war. You may survive but you'll never be as you once were.
"What if everything around you isn't quite as it seems? What if all the world you think you know is an elaborate dream? And if you look at your reflection... is it all you want it to be?"
Nine Inch Nails, "Right Where It Belongs"
"I'm not lazy, I'm just tired. and I don't mean because I've been working hard. Not at all. I'm tired from forcing myself to get out of bed everyday. I'm tired of distracting myself from the thoughts in my brain. I'm tired because all my energy is put to surviving and people don't understand that because all they see is how unproductive you are."
— depression is a disease and it's tiring
“Sometimes, all you can do is lie in bed, and hope to fall asleep before you fall apart.”
— William C. Hannan
“I hope you find someone who knows how to love you when you are sad.”
— Nikita Gill
“You can’t just give up on someone because the situation’s not ideal. Great relationships aren’t great because they have no problems. They’re great because both people care enough about the other person to find a way to make it work.”

Chaotically ordered. Recklessly beautiful.

“She had met a handsome stranger, who was also elegant and charming and experienced in gallantry, and she had tumbled into love without a single rational thought.”
— Mary Balogh, from Thief of Dreams
