I have a lot of headcanons as to why he can’t, but none of it makes me feel less in agreement with this. Spirit was a dick and his actions have unfortunate consequences.
True he does have a major…quirk…but still you can’t say he doesn’t try to be a good father and person. Despite him being a pervert, i think he’s a really good guy at the core that just can’t help himself around women.
