Thinking back to my post. How different would cardans personality be if his siblings actually treated him well?

Let’s keep it where Asha just doesn’t give a shit and eldred doesn’t like him but doesn’t forbade his siblings from being around him and he’s still allowed in the castle.

Most of what Cardan does is from his trauma and then the beatings from balekin. There’s definitely some actions that are just fae attributes but do you think he’d be a lot more mellow? Not cruel per se but maybe more neutral. Maybe his bullying of Jude and Taryn wouldn’t be as intense? Maybe he’d wander into the human world more? (Especially for books since he seems to like stories) really makes you think how different he would be?

Like my previous post I’m still thinking about it. Maybe I could make a fic about it. The concept is rather funny.

I love thinking about happy endings for characters and I was thinking about Cardan and his siblings. I wish we knew more about his sisters (especially Caelia because she seemed to be reserved and nonconfreatational) but I was imagining if he actually had a good relationship with them.

I mean Cardan is quite literally the baby of the family. We know his siblings are already over 100 years old by the time the book starts and he’s literally 16! Like not 116 but 16. In comparison he really is a baby.

Like I can’t stop imagining a good au where these grown adults are just getting over the fact their geriatric dad was able to pump one more out and now they just take care of their baby brother. (It did seem like Rhyia treated him nice enough at times)

Granted this may be me putting my own family life on a character because all my siblings have like 12 years over me but always treated well.

Natlan being so modern feels so weird to me especially because they are the most closed off region. Like when we saw advanced technology it was reserved for gods or lost civilization and I know it’s supposed to be from the dragons but even that explanation is questionable.

I honestly think they wanted to make it so modern looking is because they were working on ZZZ at the same time and wanted to try and incorporate it into the game because Natlan feels like Zenless. Maybe I’ll talk more about it in my video

As someone a part of gen z I’m kinda of worried about the way a lot of gen z views s*x especially when it comes to media. Because I have noticed this puritanical push in fiction to just not include s*x at all or s*x being in anything considered porn

Really hope we get some info as to why the traveler chooses to use an alias and not their name. Like why?

Something fascinating I’ve noticed about reading lore Olympus is how people talk about how inaccurate the characterization for the gods but at the same time mischaracterizes them.

The best example of this is Apollo. People talk about how inaccurate it is and how he’d never do that and baby him but like…..he has done that in mythology. There is literally a myth where he does that and also it’s wild to try and infantilize a god.

I’ll probably go more into this in my video but I also want to talk about the “keeping it canon” which again a retelling but that’s for video not a tumblr post

For real! Like 1) there is no single canon for mythology the characters were interpreted many ways back when it was religious stories.

And 2) YES FUCKBOY APOLLO IS A VALID TAKE. You don't have to like it but Apollo not handling rejection well was very much a part of him in myths. Cassandra anyone? He literally cursed her for not wanting to bang him. Like Dating Apollo is apparently such a daunting prospect that many stories involve his Paramores FLEEING AND KILLING THEMSELVES. he's a fucking greek God not an uwu softboy.

You don't have to like this take but it is drawing on the mythology.

Yeah no problem in all honesty it also annoys me because you can see most Greek gods as f boys (especially Zeus). I won’t lie some characters the characterization isn’t my favorite but I’m waiting to finish to fully show disappointment. The romance is still questionable in my terms though.
