A lot of what we see on tumblr and instagram is edited to unrealistic proportions, and is extremely harmful to our self image as young women.

I think spreading pictures like this helps us set more realistic weight loss expectations, and helps make us feel better about the way our bodies are shaped.

The number of people having to start over after getting termd these past couple of days has been so fucking depressing. Like so many of the blogs were all about harm reduction and were super pro recovery, wtf is wrong with people. I wish there was a better place we could all go to so we wouldn't have to deal with the constant fear of getting our safe space taken away but there's no good replacement. I'm so fucking angry rn about all of this.

People with trauma do not have to be palatable to be supported. They’re allowed to be scared, to be angry or depressed, because of the trauma they went through. Not every symptom of a disorder can be chalked up to things we already perfectly understand; trauma survivors can develop personality disorders, dissociative disorders, and other things that need just as much support and recognition as more well known ones. The emotions they experience because of trauma can be hard for them to grapple with, intense, and frightening, and they should never have to go through those things alone.
