T'is me! Yup, literally me, yours truly, and how I tend to draw myself. And some basic stuff about me. 😄

So I'm a hobbyist character designer and a bit of a worldbuilder, so expect a lot of OC-related content of me. And as many OC-related tags as humanly possible, lol. Fair warning here; despite my best efforts to visually present my plus-sized self accurately in this, I somehow still ended up looking a tad skinnier than I actually am irl (so this partially misrepresents irl me a tiny bit, I guess 😅). And I actually tend to show some symptoms of the mental health stuff listed in the top box from time to time (both irl and online), lol.

Updates Regarding the Site

We're still trying to determine the root cause for the slow/unresponsive site yesterday - we did everything we did last year plus some extra work, but the site is reacting very differently than expected. We will continue to troubleshoot.

We are very sorry about the trouble and will discuss internally about a possible day extension, but this is still up for discussion as it impacts our internal dev schedule. If we do decide to extend the fight, it will be formally announced. Thank you so much for your patience, and we hope you are still enjoying the fight!

So I usually don't do fanart, but I just needed a bit of a break from a big 'ol project I was working on. So have some random Tokyo Ghoul fanart I guess, lol.

This drawing often made me ask multiple times; 'How are these fanartist specialists not dead!?', though. 🤣 Really, this is actually the first piece of serious fanart I've ever drawn, and nothing but DEEP respect for those artists. As someone with diagnosed social anxiety; I swear, that particular path as an artist is actually NOT for the anxious or the faint of heart. 😖

Also, here's some quick proof that it's human-made, because gen-AI bros are scammy jerks. 🤣 I think I'll start doing this on future posts on my original content as well in that context.

If you are on a Windows 11 computer, pause everything you are doing for one minute and:

Open computer settings

Click on Accessibility on the left-hand menu

Scroll down the Accessibility menu and click on the Keyboard Option

Under the "related settings" tab, click "Typing" which should have a description of "spellcheck, autocorrect, text suggestions."

Turn off the AI "correct misspelled words"

and most importantly: turn off Typing Insights.

I mean, yeah, it says that..... for *now.*

It also only specifies that Microsoft themselves don't collect it, and they wouldn't have made this something that I was automatically, secretly opted in for without my knowledge if they didn't have something to be gained by me not knowing it exists!

I only found this because a cat walked on the keyboard and turned on Filter Keys and while trying to figure out why my keyboard was just making chirping noises instead of typing, I happened to click on "typing insights" by accident.

Generative AI, and especially AI that is used to "personalize" and track your activity across the web and on your computer are never going to be in your best interest, it is always going to serve these companies in whatever way will line their pockets the most, and all it takes is updating their terms of service once, and then all of that data they promised they weren't collecting suddenly all belongs to them.

Okay, time to give up on drawing for the day; that's enough for now. One of the eyes on that dang fanart sketch just straight-up REFUSES to be anything but extremely derpy. I've been trying to get the character to actually look up at the viewer of the art for a few DAYS straight now. I think I must have ended up with actual eye fatigue or something for today. Because as the comedy Youtuber Steven He would put it; 'That stinks of FAILURE!' 🤣

So I usually don't really do fanart all that much (I usually don't have the time nor the energy for it in between all of the original stuff I also want to draw 😅)... But I've been taking a break from OC design real quick to sketch out some fanart for my comfort anime, Tokyo Ghoul.

I'm hoping to actually finish this art piece before the character's birthday on June 8th, but not sure if I'll actually manage to make that deadline this year. 😅 Just saying; actively fighting your diagnosed social anxiety (mine is pretty crippling on that one) AND the general proportions on this art just generally takes A LOT out of you as an artist, lol. Really, at the time of typing this; I feel so tired that I could legit take a nap if the sun wasn't so dang bright. 😂 I'm honestly so dang exhausted from the sketch alone that I'm REALLY not sure if I'll ever do fanart again after this one is done. Guess I'll just have the likes on the final piece decide because I'm too dang tired, lol. Eh, there's always next year on that one if I fail, I guess. I never really was good at working under a time crunch like this. 🤣 No joke, I honestly already tend to struggle on time limits in videogames, tbh!
