Gee, maybe, a disabled, queer, AFAB person, I relate heavily to a group of people who are put into a situation where everyone has really specific, restrictive expectations of them and where they have to fight to be taken seriously or even considered human? Maybe that’s more interesting to me than a bunch of Space Wizards or Politicians?

In addition, the world-building aspects of how a culture of genetically identical people would function and what unique quirks it might have is FASCINATING to me.
