Welcome!

My name is [redacted], but you can call me Eel. This is mostly a Star Wars blog, where I come to be Unwell About Clones (especially Tech), but I also post/reblog about other topics, too, so it’s kind of a mixed bag of odds and ends in here! Sometimes, I post fanart, fanfic, and meta posts (again, mostly about Star Wars).

You can find me under nocturnalunicorn on A03. I’m admittedly bad about responding to comments there, but I read and treasure every one that I receive.

I also am proud to say that I run the Neurodivergent Tech Week event every summer.

A couple of housekeeping points:

Clone ship content occasionally shows up here. It is tagged as “clone ship” if you would like to filter it out.

If you tag me in something, reply to me, etc and I don’t reply, know that it’s absolutely not because I’m mad at you or anything. It’s likely the fault of my ADHD addled brain and I forgor.

I have no issue with minors interacting with my sfw posts, but I try to softblock them if they follow me. No hard feelings, but my blog isn’t always the most kid friendly place and I feel weird about potentially exposing a kid to something that they don’t need to see/read.

I think that every person who gets really into WWII era German weapons should probably take a course on the Social and Political History of Weimar Germany + the 3rd Reich. That way, they won’t forget the horrific human cost of Naziism because Cool Tank (assuming that they aren’t already a racist ghoul). We could prevent so much Wehraboo bullshit this way.

And, around two thousand years later it was originally shaped with care, painted with love, and adored… someone draws it. Draws it using a new technological device that allows modern people to shape things with care, paint with love, and even move them -on a screen, glowing.

And the said person decides to share it with the world. The whole world adores it.

I love the connection between past and today. We were humans back then, and we are still the same.

seeing weird responses to chuck tingle talking about his gender has reminded me how the concept of "my gender is being gay" or "i'm not a woman i'm a lesbian" etc. feels like basic kindergarten shit from my perspective but actually this kind of thing makes a lot of peoples heads explode

i think there's also a tendency to interpret gay men having any sort of complicated feelings about their gender as being automatically trans women (some of them are!! but yknow) or that they must present in a feminine way to be nonbinary. idk man i've met bears who take estrogen and masc jock they/thems there are more genders in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy

Dear allistic people,

If you are having a conversation with an autistic person and they annoy you or make you uncomfortable TELL THEM VERBALLY. WE DON’T KNOW WHAT WE DID TO UPSET YOU! something I know in my deepest heart of hearts is that what we see of Tech being hyperverbal is the mild side. we usually see him either in stressful situations or around people he's not completely comfortable with, and you can usually see him restraining himself from talking at least once an episode (even if he doesn't always succeed). I know with 100% certainty that when the mood hits him and the sibling next to him doesn't take active extensive measures to prevent it, he just talks nonstop. I need to see the sort of expression Phee made the first time she unlocked this level of Tech talk and I need to know how mushy she got when she realized what it meant.
