Here's the lowdown. I miss this tumblr, you all, every aspect. I hope any of you that remember me are doing well.
as for the pictures, heres the lowdown on why i've been gone.
the last time i fancy did my nails was december, caviar mini mani month kit.
i dont wear making anymore honestly, i still LOVE it but i just dont so thats me most of the time now.
That is an old picture of my family; cause my dad died 10 months ago, my sister just had the little baby girl there, and my nephew has grown SO much.
I'll check in soon. Doing my nails now, my boyfriend thinks I have awesome nails lol.
XOXO
Just wanted to say hi! I'm still around, but have been going through some personal tragedies the past month. I plan to come back as soon as I'm moved into a new place permanently and have my makeup and nail polishes again. :) I also may have some makeup to give away, not so much the giveaways I had been doing, rather than one giveaway for makeup that is new/lightly used (sanitized) that I don't need or have the space for anymore. So keep an eye out for information on that within the next couple of months. Hopefully once I have my stuff back I can start posting again, I miss it! I hope you all are well.
XOXO
Nail striping tape + cuticle clippers. I have a pair I use strictly on my nails and one I use for things such as clipping the ends of the striping tape.
Definitely recommend the striping tape, very cheap and will last a while. A lot of different things you can do with it.
$1 a piece and work well.
First attempt at dotting flowers. Just need some more practice!
Geez ipsy! You make it extremely hard to keep pressing that "confirm cancellation" button. I already know I want to keep you, stop making me feel bad for not! Lol. I'm temporarily cancelling my subscriptions to birchbox, ipsy, and beauty army. I can't afford it anymore right now. I'm keeping Julep since it's more nail polish based. I have already received my ipsy and birchbox for the month so I'll make sure to do a last post of what I received if you'd like. Same with beauty army, today is the day to pick my samples actually. I'll be resubbing when money allows. Maybe I'll do a short review on each of the boxes since I've been subscribed to each for a year or more.

Nail Mail!
I received my striping tape in the mail yesterday. I just tried it for the first time, just two quick horizontal lines. It looks like something easy and fun that can create almost an endless number of nail art designs. I plan on playing around with different designs and color combinations today.
I got my LA fresh from Hautelook package, I bought a pack of 48 travel nail polish remover packets. Their orange scented ones work nice and smell great, but they're non acetone and since I bought a pack of so many this time (I bought their variety pack last time) I knew I'd want the acetone. While they don't smell as good for sure, they definitely work great! I'll probably add a couple in the next giveaway. (Still happening yes- just trying to not start it until I know for sure I'll have the money to ship it when I say I will.)
My mom also brought me back some special Himalayan Salt Crystals, a buffer, cuticle stick, and professional file. I haven't tried the salts yet but the Ritz Carlton specializes in salts so I'm sure they're great. The buffer I love, its a lot better than my other ones I'd use and same for the nail file.
I also haven't shown you my date night nails and makeup from the other night yet. :)

Found it! I knew I had a picture of the OPI Significant Other Color somewhere. This was on Thanksgiving last year when my nephew was napping in my arms he grabbed my hand so I snapped a picture. You can see from the reblog below how it looks and more so here you can see the color change. Its really pretty!
Ciate Velvet nails. I did it quickly the other week for my nephew. He is really interested in my polishes (he's tried to take my toe off! lol) and makeup. May only be 9 months but he's damn good at helping me pick out polishes in the store too! I thought he'd like the texture to touch and I hadn't done it in a while. Its so super easy. Probably the easiest manicure kit I have, no dry time really.

#POTM - Significant Other Color by OPI
This lovely sheer(ish) lavender polish is another one I reach for when packing to travel. Its beautiful shimmery effect is created by a light green and gold duo chrome, which changes the look depending on the lighting. With two coats I get an almost opaque payoff that goes with most anything I am wearing. It’s a gorgeous staple in my collection!
ditto for sure! I've had this a while and I sometimes carry it with me lol, its a pretty, simple look.
My favorite OPI pink is purple pompeii. I consider it pink despite the name, guess I'll have to post a picture and get your guy's opinions!
I’m sure a lot of you were expecting this… considering how obsessed I am with Lord of the Rings, of course I’m going to do a Hobbit one!
On the left is the back of Smaug on his pile of gold and jewels. Bilbo too, but he’s invisible! haha! Then on the right is the scene where Bilbo and the dwarves outsmart the trolls. There’s the fire, the 3 trolls and Bilbo dangling in the trolls grasp.
You have $40 to spend on nail polish, what do you buy?
From Sephora, or any other website. I'm curious to know your answers and also taking suggestions from them. :) Thank you.
XOXO
Their website tells all! But from what I gather, they are a better alternative to many that like acrylics. It's like at the dentist! They fit only to you, you send in your nail impressions and they send you back your custom nails. You can paint these and seemingly do anything with them and they will not break, stain, chip, etc. It's not something I'm personally interested in to purchase but it is quite interesting and a very good invention.
Pulled from their FAQ on their website:
Q: What makes Custom Nail Solution Nails better than acrylics, gels, and wraps?
A: Custom Nail Solutions Nails are created using a thermoplastic unlike acrylics, which are thermo-sets that cure on your natural nail bed and constantly release toxic substances.
Thought I'd share!
XOXO
Super sparkly, lavender, studded nails!
How to:
You will need:
Color of your choice. I used OPI “Lucky Lucky Lavender”
A holographic glitter top coat. I used Northern Lights, another good choice would be China Glaze “Fairy Dust”
Base and top coats. Use base coat of your choice, but make sure you use a nice thick topcoat like Seche Vite.
Microbeads. These are available at most beauty supply and craft stores.
A toothpick.
Optional, a drying spray or other type of nail dryer.
Paint your nails as usual with base coat, 2 coats of color, glitter, and topcoat. Once that is completely dry, pour a very small amount of microbeads out onto a clean surface where they are spaced out and will not roll around too much. Dip the tip of the toothpick in the top coat, pick up a single microbead, and place it carefully on your nail. Repeat, carefully, forming the desired pattern. After placing the last one, wait a few minutes, then apply a thick layer of topcoat. Thick enough to glide easily over the beads, but not so much it is dripping or running all over the nail. It’s a careful balance, but if you put on too much just brush it off. This is why I chose to use rapid dry spray, just on the studded nails. I waited about 30 minutes then added a second, thinner layer of topcoat, but you may not need to. You also may need to clean up a bit of clear coat off your cuticles, cause this can get messy!
Submit a pic if you try this! I would love to see this with different colors of polish and microbeads or different patterns, but it is really time consuming!
simple & cute.
