Don’t get married. Marriage ruins everything.
I think that’s only the case for couples who haven’t learnt to respect each other. I think that’s all that matters in successful marriages.
And even if this “you won’t be in love forever yk” thing is true for marriages, I still want to spend forever with Shane.
The purest form of love is caring and respecting each-other. Being there for each other. Not this silly stuff modern couples argue over. “He did this for me” “he did that for me” “he bought me porche, he took me on vacation”
What matters is, does he respect you? Accept you with every single flaw you have as a complete human?
I can’t get two English words together sometimes but Shane understands me because love is about knowing someone’s soul. :)
But I want to do this to show him and the world that I love him, that in the world of sports people like him and I can exist and be happy, and move on despite everything. Despite my family problems and the hate we face everyday on the media and in real life just because we chose to love each other. Saying no to marriage can be someone else’s preference but I want this.
I appreciate the concern though, I hope we are all fortunate enough that we meet the right person that will make it worth the lifetime long stay. ❤️
