Summary
In the forest of Utahigashi an otherworldly sickness corrodes the soil and changes the creatures within. “A parting gift from the fallen angels” say the citizens of the Hyaku Region and the mark on your hand confirms it.
Though the scent travelling in the air is sweet and enticing everyone knows better than to get closer. But the mark, it pulses, it burns, the pain spreading as fast as the corruption of the forest does.
Your masters are calling, and it seems like this time you cannot escape them.

Miwa Imamura | Strenght in reverse, 6 of wands in reverse
"You are, love, my will to laugh, the goodbye I won’t know how to say, because I’ll never be able to live without you" Tú - Shakira
(Previously Asha)
Born in the warmer southern coasts of Kyou, Miwa is a performer with a muddy past. She's cheerful and free spirited, her want for excitement and impulsiveness unsuitable for her state as a runaway. In exchange for your help, will turn into a helpful ally, vouching for you and keeping you safe and away from judgemental eyes.
She, much like Hazuki, has a liking towards the finer arts and enjoys luxury and fancy clothing.
Hazuki Tamashiro | Death, 6 of swords in reverse
"You and I, maybe it's not so illogical. Tell me it's not." Dime que no - Jesse & Joy
Lord Sakuma Tamashiro's firstborn. He, much like you, has demon blood, though its dark divinity has long since faded.
Raised in near seclusion, Hazuki has foregone the study of combat in favor of more artistic and intellectual pursuits, just like his father did before him. Sensitive and a bit timid, Hazuki is often described by those that know him as caring and good natured, yet only a dim reflection of his younger brother, Hayato, who is to inherit the Lordship.
When around those he trusts —like Masa— you can see inklings of who he really is, intelligent and a bit too trustful.
Katja/Klaus Rassé | Death, 5 of wands
| She | He | They |
"He knows no one shines forever, they change with the weather." On the Arrow - AFI
K is a vampire from the distant land of Aveli, recently moved to Kyou. Normally uses their charming wit to get out of difficult situations, arrogance seeping at their words, a certain warmth imbued in their voice when talking to you.
Often the first to jump into danger, disregarding their own safety. Some could say, based on this, they have a dying wish, and they wouldn't be wrong.
Your paths have crossed few times, yet slowly pieces of memory make their way to you, not all pleasant.
Masami/Masaru Shiraishi | 5 of swords, the sun
| She | He |
"'Till now, I always got by on my own. I never really cared until I met you." Alone - Heart
Yamato Shiraishi's child and Hazuki's retainer (and unwilling spouse-to-be).
Known for being stubborn, headstrong and fiercely loyal. Masa will not hesitate to attack when presented with an opponent or potential threat to their newfound friends, though we all know they secretly enjoy all the adventuring and fighting that ensues.
Platonic route: Saori| 7 of cups rev, judgment rev
Saori is the image of the proper lady: quiet, poised, beautiful. And that's where the image ends. Honest to a fault, proud and curious to boot, her unusual upbriging makes her a rather interesting companion.

A couple of years ago I did a post during new year talking about my goals for the year, so here I am to try and do it again.
Now that I'm a full time accountant I have little time and it's tax season too, but my main goals remain: start the gym, which I already did, and get back into art.
It's funny, back in the day I used to feel dissappointed for writing 6k per week or drawing only about 5 times per month. Now I'm lucky if I have the energy/motivation for 1k per month and I haven't done any drawings in like 2 years. But it will change! Soon! Soonish
I recently started designing Miwa in the Sims and got sad because I know I haven't really focused on An Angel's Song (been writing my possible debut novel). Writing IF is just so time consuming and can get so repetitive, when I get back to it I will probably start leaving branches unfinished so that I don't get stuck
Anyway, I'll do my best to meet my goals this year.
Hi! I’m not sure you’ve heard or not but dashingdon is shutting down and just wanted to spread the word to you and other authors out there that I’ve followed from way back. So here’s a heads up ❤️ No need to reply to my message or anything if you don’t feel up to it either! There should be more info on cog forum or other authors on other wipswho are spreading word as well. And apparently any unsaved wips will be deleted
thank you for thinking of me! I think I have the file somewhere but I'll download it again just in case!
write for yourself. put your fantasies on paper. no one knows what you are writing. no one knows what's in your head. no one is going to write it for you. if you don't write down your ideas they will disappear. if you are too scared to write your thoughts then don't write, try something different. if writing is the only way, get to writing. no one else's opinion matters. no one else's opinion will ever matter
this isn't about sharing or posting your work, btw. this is just about writing it at all. BUT for things you've written and are proud of enough to want to share....someone is waiting for your story. your rarepair. your bizarre self-insert oc. your "cringe" obsessions. someone out there wants to find it and go "yyeeesssssssss thissssssss! finally!"
and even if your thing is so niche it's only that one person, you just made their day, in fact it's highly likely they will replay your story in their head for years. stories i didn't even like come back to me at random times because i learned something from them or they evoked an important emotion. sometimes they just used a word in a way that stood out to me and years later i'm using that word that way.
you never know! you cannot imagine how much someone might want to read your ideas! hell, they don't even know until they read it!
The most frustrating experience as a writer is having a clear vision in your mind of the story you want to tell but being too afraid to put pen to paper for fear of failing to do the story justice. I’m so scared that my actual execution will fail to meet my expectations that I’m paralysed to even start.
You cannot fail to do the story justice more than if you never write it!
I spent so many years feeling this way and now I look back on it and I'm so glad I finally broke through that mindset because even if its the worst iteration of this story that could ever be produced, it's the ONLY iteration of the story that's ever been produced.
you know what? reblog your own work. if you're proud of it you deserve to promote it as many times as you want. there's nothing wrong with being your own fan !!! don't be apologetic about it either--your work is incredible !!! be proud of yourself !!!
Anyone over here excited for Veilguard? I am! I recently changed jobs (again) and am being paid almost thrice as I did before (more work too but it's okay), also work for home so writing has been more frequent!
Unfortunately not An Angel's Song but I'll get around to it. I just have to make the time (and also get over this block in the story).
So... Veilguard! This is the first time I might actually play a AAA game the year it comes out (getting to play it on release is... Not impossible but hard to make it there, I have a lot of things to pay and not enough time to save).
But yeah. No An Angel's Song yet, but maybe a traditional novel soon!
grabbing new writers by the shoulders. it is important to write what you love and to love what you write. if you spend all your time trying to make something other people will approve of you will hate yourself and everything around you. learn at your own pace. you have time. i’m proud of you
first (draft) of the episode one nash intimate scene (version one) is up on patreon for the $5 tier and above <3 it clocks in at about 4k words and i hope you enjoy :)
Hello! My name is KC Malik and I’m a published writer, indie game developer and editor with over eight years of experience in the writing field. While most of my editing experience has been completely pro-bono, I’d like to offer up my experience to the #writeblr and tumblr interactive fiction communities!
As of right now, I’m working as a game developer on my text-based game Larkin while pursuing a master’s degree in English Education and working as a professional writing tutor. As well as editing my own writing, I’ve worked with editors before and I know what an absolute beast it can be to face such a wall of text. I’ve edited academic work, fiction, fanfics, poems, resumes and cover letters (and of course, interactive fiction 😉) and I would love to help you make your work the best it can be :) With this I offer a variety of packages for editing (all payments through PayPal!)
Please reach out if you’d like to see samples of my work!
One thing I absolutely love about writing is hearing the absolutely batshit things that we all do in order to get words on a page. Like, sure there are things you're "supposed" to do. And yeah, people talk about "bad habits" or whatever.
But to me, the only bad habits are the ones that make it harder to get things written and the only thing you're supposed to do is find out what makes it easier for you to get the words out and then do more of that thing.
