Fic idea where there's talk of an invisible vigilante running around the server, killing strong players who are attacking the weaker ones. Not even the server's most cracked players are a match for this wannabe Robin Hood, which is why they're all out to get him o_O

Derek realizes almost immediately that it's Avery and does a little bit of trolling when he runs into the notorious Killshot (nickname given by the server because his killing blows are always dealt with a bow and arrow)

He definitely believes it happened, but what confuses him are the physical and emotional reactions to this d3rLord3 guy. He doesn’t even remember this person, yet his subconscious responses to d3rLord’s actions are so visceral that Avery can’t help but wonder who Derek was to him, because they looked like strangers but it doesn’t feel that way

I know Derek said he wouldn’t know what would happen after he merged with the king, but if he DID then I feel like it would add extra layers to his sacrifice—bc he’d die knowing that Avery would completely forget him, which would make him even less hesitant to die because then that’s one less person who would grieve him after he’s gone
