pointless cornplating but it's really fun to me that both dickie and q stuck with hockey because of goaltending in completely opposite ways (being roped into being a useless backup goalie vs wanting to be a goalie rly badly but never getting the chance)

and they also both had somewhat mocking nicknames related to their hockey struggles as kids (yard sale/the garbage man)

also somewhat related q's younger sister was able to convince her parents to let her play goalie (she's playing for merrimack next season) and he was jealous of her skating when they were young
