i’m deeply defensive of agott witch hat atelier because i remember the feeling of being dubbed a bitch at age twelve for not responding ‘correctly’ due to have deeply embedded paranoia; it’s not that she isn’t rude to coco but she’s so clearly a child from a bad home life lashing out and feeling the weight of academic pressure crushing her. some of you are very weird about young girls and should examine why your default is to call a fictional child an evil bitch. i do think it’s reflective of how you talk about actual young girls and they deserve better than to be branded bitches for responding to environments crafted by adults

Yeah, some adults just Do that. I was told to my face that I had a shitty attitude by my own family members ever since age 7. Why? Because I didn't like hanging out with grown ass people at family events.

This is a stupid thing that people do, and, unfortunately, this is a learned behavior. As long as there's people who think it's okay to judge a kid under any circumstance, there's people who will do it.

The Real Slim Shady is a good metaphor for the autistic social experience but you wouldn’t understand that unless you were at your little brother’s Halloween party in middle school and you two are doing slim shady karaoke except lots of the words are blank on the screen but it’s not the ones you’d expect?? And now the DJ is trying to tell you you can’t say clitoris, but somehow “damn” is fine, which is weird because you KNOW that one is a curse word and so you and your brother spend the rest of the song trying to determine which words you can and cannot say but you still don’t get it right.

ok but to answer the ask:

Harper when she saw unfamiliar people in her space as a toddler made her get upset just like a lot of little kids in that situation. If sonar came home looking different (multiple bandages on face, a section shaved, special facial gear etc-) she would flip her lid until she could smell it was her papa, at which point the wariness would usually go down.

Oh, my god, the image of the cult worshipping Malevola trying to kidnap Robert and THAT being how the pregnancy is discovered! 🤣 That must have been an interesting conversation, especially depending on what the cultists said while trying to grab the poor guy! What was said?! Why were they kidnapping Robert for the baby?! I need that MechaDemon lore, purely for the delight I feel reading that brief description of how he discovered the pregnancy!

it def had something to do with the baby's potential powers, how they'd be 'able to pull monsters into the world and cause mass destruction.' safe to say that the cultist that wrote it down got most of it wrong, but they got the summoning part right!
