stop wait i just realized theyre both wearing button ups in different ways... imagine richie stealing will's button ups to wear unbuttoned or vice versa lololollll
duffers writing the tower scene as some kind of brutal shut down for bylers is so funny because their love literally shined through anyways. we ended up with a heavily queercoded mike who stumbled over his words and knew what "coming out" meant, will looking the most in love he's ever been, an indirect kiss through the water bottle sharing, and overall great chemistry that couldn't be matched even when mike's gf was dying.
i've been grieving what stranger things could have been these past days. i love will byers forever. he means the whole world to me and i relate to him in to an incredibly profound degree, i feel very, very connected to him and his story and his characteristics and i don't know, to see how his character was dealt with (as well as what happened to the only sapphic couple in the show), made me feel very frustrated and sad and heartbroken. it really hurt. as someone who, in real life, has loved someone for a long time and ended up being led on and used and disrespected for those feelings, i was really hoping will would find the happiness and the respect he and his feelings deserved because then it'd make things clearer for me that, since our stories are so intrisically bonded, i deserved to have that too.
i know it's silly and this can be dramatic and that i don't have the perfect words to articulate how i'm feeling, but i just wanted to share. however, i now know that will is always going to deserve better. he means so much to so many people and what happens next, according to US (those who really care for and appreciate and understand and love him) is what matters most. and if i believe that he has found love and understanding and respect in the way he has always deserved, then that's how i choose to move forward, that's what's most meaningful and real to me ๐
i have received messages and asks regarding my little disappearance, i appreciate your concern, but i assure y'all that i'm okay now! i just needed a little break, given that i was feeling very overwhelmed with everything. i still love will and byler and stranger things with all my heart! it's just been a roller coaster, but things are getting better with each passing day!
