The world as we know it is ending. In spite of the best efforts of Rotumblrs best Heroes (and some Villains. And some in Between) the six legendary pokemon needed to exert full control over the world have fallen into the hands of small sect of the powerful and corrupt, known only as Gonbei-san. Those known to be part of the organization, Giovanni, Lusamine, Joseph Stone, and a whole host of others unknown now watch from above the chaos as the world is divided into pieces and thrown into darkness.
But a small window of time still remains. While small portions of the world still lay divided into the Loci of Control, it's influence has yet to spread to the rest of the world.
Can one last push of resistance topple the Loci and defeat Gonbei-san once and for all?
Rules/OOC:
Hey everyone it's Pichu!! It's been a little bit since we've had a nice big Cataclysmic Event so I figured, Why not END THE WORLD!
Here's some Ground Rules for the event and how to participate!
Bulk of Event Planning will be taking place here:
Check out the RotoUniverse community on Discord - hang out with 145 other members and enjoy free voice and text chat.
Joining the Discord isn't necessary to participate in the event, but it can provide extra character beats, insight and extra context for the lead up to the event!
Anyone can join! You do not have to have been involved in the Gonbei-san plot up to this point in order to join in.
This is a HIGH STAKES event! Character death, harm, and violence may take place throughout this event. Please read the TW list for each section if you wish to participate!
Event scenes will take place in one of six "arenas". Each comes with its own rules, challenges, and a unique method by which the Locus is defeated. Your prompt is to write in detail your character's journey through the Locus, what trials they encounter, and how they come out the other side. Will they be Triumphant? Or will they surrender to the control of the Locus in which they're caught?
Please note: no Godmoding or assuming control of other characters will be permitted in this event! No one character can successfully topple an entire Locus. Doing so will be a team effort and will happen as the event progresses!
The event will conclude on August 30th, so be prepared for a wrap up by that date!
As a general note please ask if you want to take any big actions that involve other characters or could effect the scenario over all as a whole!
Tag for the event will be: The Loci of Control
The Six Loci will be as follows:
Locus of Dominance:
You are ruled by the cruelty of this world and your inability to shape it.
Locus of Fellowship:
You are defined by your isolation, and struggles to connect with others in a divided world.
Locus of Prestige:
You are assailed by the enemies you've made on all sides, both real and imagined.
Locus of Vitality:
You are swept up within the cycle of killing or being killed, fighting endlessly for your life.
Locus of Legacy:
You are haunted by actions you've taken in your past, and wander a path lined with bitter memories.
Locus of Chaos:
You are trapped within a world in which nothing makes sense. Down is up and up is sideways. And nowhere is escape.

If you have any questions at all feel free to message me to ask. I'll answer private DMs, Discord messages and asks as I can!

I Wish, I Wish, I Wish
“It’s almost over,” She sighed wistfully.
The Millennium Comet burned its way across the darkening sky above them, its golden-white reflection shimmering in the facets of the violet crystal in her hands.
Mateo watched as Zee hefted the Millennium Crystal toward the comet. The Wishmaker would wake to the light of the comet and the ringing of a pure voice. So she sang, her voice carving out a fierce tune of pure love, devotion, and savagery.
Her voice that grated on his ears.
He hated her. She was Estrella’s true daughter, her child of flesh and blood. Try as he had, he had never truly convinced the woman he loved like a mother of her blood daughter’s wretchedness.
She valued him, yes. Tolerated him. But he supposed it had been a far fetched effort from the beginning to hope the leader of Team Heartless would save a fragment of her hollowed heart for him.
And then the wretched daughter had stabbed her own mother in said heart. Despite everything, she’d still had one to stab.
He hated the ungrateful girl. Loathed her. Craved her death at every turn and every remark against her mother. Yet he kept finding himself in her orbit, drawn in by her dominant presence and her creative will.
She was going to restore their beloved lost mother. Of course he had to assist her and ensure her success.
So he stood at her side as the crystal began to crumble, dissolving into glittering stardust. He supposed he should have been more alert, more in awe as the form of the Wishmaker hatched from its crystal cradle. Instead, he was surprised by how small it was.
It was positively infantile, fitting easily in the cup of her waiting hands.
Its blanket of wings unfurled slowly, fluttering behind it like wisps of starlit cobwebs. It cooed, fussing a little like a baby waking from its nap. Then its eyes opened.
She took it in her hands and cradled it against her chest, her painted lips parting in wonder as the little night black eyes peered up at her.
“Hello, sweetie,” Zee whispered.
It cooed and reached up, tugging a strand of her pink hair in its minuscule hand.
Mateo’s lip twitched. Despite the serene picture, something felt wrong. He flexed the pale golden aura surrounding him, and he felt it. Something distinctly off, like something cold and shadowy pressing itself against his psychic aura just outside of his periphery.
“Zenobia,” He warned, but she frowned and turned away.
He realized it then, she had what she wanted now. She didn’t need him anymore, and she certainly wouldn’t heed his council now.
He’d found Jirachi for her. The rest of the mission was in her hands.
The Jirachi took flight now, rising like smoke from her arms as it scrubbed at its face and yawned.
“Jirachi,” Zee said, her voice growing taught with urgency as her salvation risked floating away, “Grant my wish.”
It rolled, then tilted its head sleepily. It seemed unfocused, distracted even, whimpering and massaging its forehead.
“Jirachi!” She cried again, reaching up.
It whimpered again, a pitiful sound. It shook its head, and the three cyan tags dangling from its star began to glow nauseatingly.
That unsettled feeling shifted to one of dread in Mateo’s stomach as Jirachi’s power pulsed. Dark power.
“Zenobia,” The psychic said, reaching toward her, “Something’s wrong here.”
Her golden eyes narrowed, and she pulled away with a scowl. The Jirachi made a sound, almost like it was crying, and it began to sink, falling like rags plummeting into the depths of a lake of stars. Zee’s gaze only softened as she reached up again, her soft hands offering safety. Its lazy descent paused, hovering mere inches out of her reach, wavering between her offered comfort and the uncertainty of the night.
“Jirachi!” Zee cried, desperate now, “Beloved of the stars, grant my wish!”
The true eye cracked open then, just a sliver, and Mateo felt coldness assail him, sudden and shocking like having the bedsheets ripped from him in the middle of the night.
The little hands clutched her fingertips. Its black eyes settled slowly upon her face, and it asked in a tiny, child-like voice, “Heartless daughter, what do you wish for?”
Mateo saw it then. Tears. A red rimmed eye, and three burning tags. The air shrieked with the wailing of a frightened child in the night.
Zee’s own golden eyes were blinded by her ambition, by her dreams skimming her fingertips, by the promise of a wish in her ears.
“I wish for my mother!”
A tag ignited.
“I wish for my childhood!”
A tag ignited.
“And I wish for the strength to protect them!”
The last of three tags ignited, burning hot against the darkness.
Mateo reached again only to have a flash of stars and steel repel him, slapping him away like flailing, terror-blinded hands. Jirachi was not awake. It was sleepwalking.
This was the coalescence of Wishmaker and nightmare.
“ZENOBIA!” He screamed, reaching with shaking hands for his sister-accomplice, but it was far too late.
The Eye opened.
He thought it was a dream, or perhaps death, as light swallowed him and the world shuddered. For a moment, there was only light and silence as the universe seemed to hold its breath.
And the sky shattered.
The breaking was felt as much as it was heard, a sharp rippling across reality as something essential was overwritten. Sky fragments fell like stars, streaking white tears against the rich blue and twirling colors spreading across the primordial darkness. The splatter of stars and colors swelled like ink in water, horrible and beautiful as dreams and nightmares could often be. He could hear the new sky twinkling above like wind chimes and feel the pressure of its psychic energy swelling in his veins.
The well of unleashed energy pulled down on the Heavens, dragging down a slow descent of minior who settled into the atmosphere with curious smiles. What an odd new world! What a strange new scene! What an old tragedy.

Good evening! We here at Pastoria Marsh appreciate the offer, but it's against policy to involve anybody in something that could be life-threatening unless they were another Park employee or a Pokemon Ranger.
The issue is that she has eggs! And does not want us anywhere near said eggs. And starts to throw a tantrum when we're even just in tranquilizing distance. This is fantastic
If yall need a sturdy flyin type for anythin, I don't mind sendin over my drifblim if she could help in any way! Maybe she could help yall get into range without mama blastin ya to next week [^]! Of course, only if that doesn't count as "trainer involvement"...
to get festive for christmas eve, the Christmas Eevee is being released onto the public to wreak as much havoc as possible on every ornament it can find before it evolves at midnight into a Decorateon
Season’s Greason’s from the Hisuian Icelands! Watch out for that alpha sneasel!
I wanted to draw something quick for today and the first thing that popped into my head was this image haha. Merry Christmas and happy holidays to those that celebrate!
For the sake of "outreach": if you live in Sinnoh, have Sinnohian ancestry, or enjoy visiting our parks, please reblog this! I'd like to be a little more connected to the Sinnohian circle of Rotumblr.

@skrub-dubs's Pippin the Applin
Pippin is by all means a light in my life tbh. He's a snobby bastard. He consistently judges me for my fruit tastes and does not allow me to have "subpar" apples. He is a beacon of hilarity and joy and I wish I could shove how wonderful he is in the face of whoever abandoned him so long ago that luvdisc day. Also he got over 200 notes on rotumblr. The people love him.
@pandorias-box's Hyperion the Naganadel
I have raised them ever since they were a hatchling, and the bond between us has grown ever since, even if they are still a bit aloof and stubborn sometimes.
They allow me to traverse across Ultra Space and the regions of Terra with ease whilst also acting as a companion. When not in battle or acting as a mount, they typically lounge and sunbathe in the training grounds behind the Interdimensional Research Center in Heahea City. Additionally, they are prone to ‘singing’ on occasion.
Hyperion may be an exceedingly odd-looking Pokémon considering they are an Ultra Beast, but I can assure you that they are a stalwart and trustworthy ally.
