ok ok wait actually i need to use this opportunity to set the records straight because this is one of my top pet peeves about fanon genshin being mistaken for canon.

diluc never tried to kill kaeya. he lashed out at him, yes, allegedly quite violently, yes, and they fought, yes, and diluc might have killed him in his blind rage if kaeya’s vision manifesting hadn’t interrupt their clash, yes. but there’s absolutely nothing in the stories that explicitly say diluc intended or tried to kill kaeya.

and as far as my interpretation is concerned, it was quite the opposite. the ice stunned him and that’s all it took - one second of pause to realize what he was doing, to stop in his tracks and put an end to it. because no matter how harrowing it was for him to find out the truth, diluc never wanted kaeya dead.

okay okay. to fulfill my archon diluc desires

Murata is dying for some reason and the only way for her to continue to live is by inhabiting the body of one of her vision holders. It’s not a matter of her being able to choose just anyone. It has to be someone who matches her in personality, ambition, and other stuff. Unlike Murata, most pyro vision holders are incredibly eccentric and extroverted. Murata herself is reserved when she needs to be and incredibly snarky.

It seems as though the person who will help save her life doesn’t exist because either the connection isn’t strong enough or they’re too young.

Until she finds Diluc. Diluc initially rejects her proposal due to the fact that it’s unclear if he’d lose his autonomy, but Murata is resilient. She doesn’t pester him over and over again, but she does refuse to leave and the two of them spend a lot of time together. It reaches a point where they bond quite well and Diluc realizes he does want to help.

Diluc also realizes that he doesn’t lose any part of himself. Instead, it’s more like a two consciousnesses in one body kind of thing where Diluc is still fully in control of himself and Murata’s kind of floating around. They’re able to communicate and Murata experiences everything Diluc does, as well as his memories. Murata keeps her own sealed for Diluc’s safety.

Murata hears about Ei’s whole puppet thing and realizes that it might be a viable option for her to create her own empty body so that she can stop inhabiting Diluc’s, but she fails to realize what a perfect match she and Diluc really are. Trying to separate the two of them at this point would probably kill them both. Instead, their bodies, minds, and abilities continuously merge. There’s less of a distinction between the two of them, but since their personalities and other things about them were so similar to begin w, it’s not really noticeable upon first glance. They still communicate through thoughts, but Murata’s voice in Diluc’s head is now a lot like his own.

Because of this, Diluc now has the power and control of the pyro archon and everything that entails, including mastery in all of Murata’s skills and weapons. He still leans towards his claymore, but he’s capable w anything he uses.

But now there’s the issue of whether Diluc stays in Mondstadt to live his human life, or moves to Natlan to continue on for Murata as the pyro archon
