Friends, Mutuals, esteemed followers and late night ao3 readers I come you in my hour of need! As some of you are aware my father passed recently and I am now the sole care taker for my disabled mother. She is unable to fly due to stroke risk (she has a TIA micro stroke condition, this means she has tia attacks frequently!) and the only way for her to travel cross country is by train! This campaign aims to raise enough funds for her to travel comfortably and ship her personal belongings...before it snows and she is alone and inaccessible to emergency services on a long rural dirt road and I do mean dirt road.

Today's update is a big one! A lease has been secured! Yipee, it might not be perfect but we will all fit. Now that I've handled that I've started planning operation Mom Extraction. I am tentatively planning to fly out on the 10th, movers will be there on there 13th and 14th and then train...I need to be home by the 17th or 18th. It has not yet snowed in Maine, there is still time! Every little bit that is donated between now and the journey will help! the two sleeper train tickets are so close to being funded!! My mom's been doing really well and its been a couple of weeks since her last TIA. she's in good spirits and doing a herculean job of downsizing and packing with the help of family and friends. Thank you all so much <3
