“I feel like France would have something to say about that. Don’t they have an on-going rivalry?”

“ god i hope they do, ” annika sighed softly, “ but we shouldn’t underestimate before we try. ”

“I suppose you have a point with that.” Diego half-smiled, “Have you ever been here before? It’s my first time, but don’t think we will be seeing much.”

Gemma turned her head at the voice, slightly offended by the comment. “This is Sicily. Do you really expect a dump and watered down wine?”

Diego faced her only slightly, remaining entirely impassive upon hearing her tone. “I don’t know what to expect though perhaps if I had something to try then I would be able to have an opinion.”

“if they don’t, i’m jumping straight back on the fucking plane.” luca mused, glancing around at his surroundings with only mild interest. “if they’re evacuate me from my country and not even tell me why, then i better be entitled to as much corton-charlemagne blanc as my heart desires.”

“Hold me a space will you. I don’t want to be stuck on here sober, especially if they’re not going to tell us what is actually going on.” Diego shrugged, letting out a slight sigh. “I’m surprised they haven’t been handing out something local to drink, peak our interest.”
