that isn’t what i meant at all and if it comes across that way i apologize. what i was referring to is the fact that the tags are full of people all looking to cancel each other for what it looks like began as rp drama. that’s what i was referring to as high school drama, but honestly as i kind of went into with the post, nobody has a clue what’s even going on with any of these people unless they’re actually involved in the situation. i genuinely didn’t know that’s what is going on ... i did see one post in the tag where somebody said something disgusting about someone’s mental illness / used mental illness as an insult but i didn’t see that until i had already made my own post.

this will be my last time talking about it. all i wanted to say by my post was that we’re all sick of this and that none of it should have a place in the rpt tag or the rpc in general. it’s triggering for people not involved and bares no relevance to roleplay at all

I would love to join an admin team for creating an rp, unfortunately I've admined a few times this year and it's all been so draining. It's a thankless job and people don't realize it. I hate putting in so much love and effort into a group where people don't put in any effort to write, help new members integrate, or just generally participate outside of their little bubbles, or alternatively new members don't try to plot with established characters mistaking them for "cliques" and the rps die.

i feel that ... i feel like sometimes people think it’s the fault of admins that so many rps these days will have a successful initial app period, get a bunch of people posting their intros and then the whole rp ends up dying because no one posts ... and people also think it’s the responsibility of admins, solely, to avoid or solve those kinds of problems when sometimes it really is just an issue of the ways in which people rp these days... selective on who they plot with, selective on which faceclaims they’d like to ship with or, on the other end of the spectrum, ghosting rps because they didn’t get a ship plot, too focused on aesthetics, too focused on having a better intro than everyone else & consequently ending up suffering from burnout so they can’t be bothered to actually do interactions... i’m not pointing blame at anyone here or trying to shame those who get caught in these behaviors, i think it’s a case of it just being so normalized these days that people around here have forgotten how to just ... try their best to plot with everyone, try their best to avoid forming/falling into cliques, look past the fc and whether you like/dislike/aren’t familiar with them in order to focus more on the character, etc. 

all this being said i still wanna admin something bc for some reason i’m optimistic FGJHDFK maybe i have worms for brains

THANK YOU. People are out there so focused on the "tea" that they're ignoring the real reasons the rp community is dying. Can we talk about why people don't like para writing anymore, why when I bring my black characters to a group people gush about them ooc but never once try to work out a plot, or why female characters are ignored unless they're seen as an object for a ship no matter how well written they are?

not to be messy & speak on things i’m not involved in when i’m only just returning to this blog after being inactive for months.... BUT i’m gonna do it anyway because i’m sick of reading this now. you’re all talking about this controversy situation waaaaay too much now. idrk what happened because i have a job and a life but ok, someone roleplayed a pandemic or something, they got cyberbullied for it, they removed the pandemic aspects from their roleplay, there was some commentary about mob mentality. that should’ve been the end of it. the person roleplaying a pandemic fucked up, and so did the people who took it way too far in bullying them over it (however i’m not talking about the people who simply just held them accountable in a fair way). that’s literally it. can’t we move on? 

you’re all constantly complaining that the rpc is dying but since everyone’s focusing so much on this one fairly petty issue that should’ve been over when the rp admin removed the covid aspect from their plot, you’re literally putting everyone off and making this community such a miserable and serious place to be when this is just supposed to be a hobby???

this one situation is something that could’ve been over and done with quickly, but there are so many issues the rpc has that can’t be over and done with quickly, like literal racism, whitewashing, female characters being ignored etc. which i have literally seen talked about less than this
