Transgender Day of Visibility.
Everyone should know the international sign for Help Me. Letās make this famous!!
Interesting; I didn't know this was a thing.
Itās apparently a thing, but itās a very new thing, so it may need some help being known.

current gender: saying I'm a woman is weird and saying I'm not a woman is also weird
What's wrong with Gandhi?
Where do I begin?
- Criticized the Jews for defending themselves against the Holocaust because he insisted that they should have committed public mass suicide in order to āshameā the Germans instead of fighting back. His exact words were, āBut the Jews should have offered themselves to the butcherās knife. They should have thrown themselves into the sea from the cliffs. As it is, they succumbed anyway in their millions.ā
- Wrote an open letter to the British people in 1940 telling them to surrender to the Axis even if it mean accepting genocide.
- Was very anti-black. I hope you can stomach reading how he treated black people in South Africa. Itās fucking disgusting.
- Refused his wife life-saving medication (for religious reasons), but those religious reasons all of a sudden no longer applied to him when he was in a similar position.
- Refused to have sex with his wife for the last 38 years of their marriage. He felt that in order to test his commitment to celibacy, he would have beautiful young women (including his own great niece) lie next to him naked through the night. His wife, whom he described as looking like a āmeek cowā was no longer desirable enough to be a solid test.
- Believed that Indian women who were raped lost their value as a human.
- During his time as a dissident in South Africa, he discovered that a young male was harassing two of his female followers. He responded by cutting the girlsā hair off to ensure the āsinnerās eyeā was āsterilized.ā He later boasted about the incident in his writings, pushing the message to all Indians that women should carry responsibility for sexual attacks upon them.
- Argued that fathers could be justified in killing daughters who had been sexually assaulted for the sake of family and community honor.
- Believed that menstruation was a manifestation of the distortion of a womanās soul by her sexuality.
- Waged a war against contraceptives, labeling Indian women who used them as whores.
- Held the attitude that women were simply creatures that could bring either pride or shame to the men who own them.

Gandhi was a piece of shit and I hate when people site him as this peaceful angelic type of dude..
Help us kick Bezos in the dick
Boss Baby Bezos is at it again! Amazon opened a union busting website for people to report workers unions, so lets do the world a favor and waste Jeffās time, money, and life energy (I hope) by spamming his website with bogus reports. Eat shit, Jeff.
The company has also sent anti-union text messages to workers and posted anti-union banners in its facilities in the lead-up to a union elec
For more information. Specifically, theyāre doing it because an Amazon warehouse in Bessemer, Alabama is voting to unionize on February 8th, so Amazon is sending anti-union texts to workers there, hanging up anti-union banners inside the warehouse, and, in the website, urging workers āto call a federal labor agency to revoke cards workers sign to indicate support for a unionā.
The following text is what I sent them (with a temporary email adress). Ominous so that they wonāt know if I am trolling or not. Feel free to use this as your template or inspiration:
Hello
I wish to complain about the union card that I got recently.
I am complaining because unions really seem like something big companies don't like. To resolve this problem I would like you to read my email very carefully.
When I first learned of this problem, I was shocked about your company, and was told that nothing could be done about my problem, other than unionizing. I believe that this response is unfair because you just want to make as much money as possible. This is just capitalism, right?
I look forward to hearing from you about how your anti-union campaign is going. If I do not hear from you within a few days I will keep my union card and talk more to the people who seem to think unionizing is appropriate.
Sincerely, Alex

Also, letās be honest, it would be kinda funny
āThe average internet user of 2020 was served 1,700 banner adverts per month. At the time there were estimated to be 4.48 billion people active on the internet which means that 4.48 billion people were receiving 7.4 trillion banner ads each month. A study conducted in 2016 evaluated that the carbon footprint of online advertising in total constituted 10% of the total emissions of the internet. That was a lot of energy for something that has a success rate of one purchase per million ad impressions.ā

if you want to actually start to end homelessness, you need to give homeless people unconditional homes, including when we use them to do drugs or sit around drinking. either housing is unconditional or it isnāt
someone sitting at home alone, an active alcoholic, squandering your charity, drinking all day is better situation than a street homeless alcoholic. someone using drugs in your charity house is better than them doing the same w no shelter
most of you would not like most street homeless people, I definitely donāt and didnāt when I was street homeless. for every one person who uses unconditional shelter to turn themselves around, someone else will do jack shit and very slowly, if ever, work through the issues that made them homeless, will maybe never be able to live independently. still better than street homelessness, still worth doing. ultimately either you believe that shelter should be universal or you donāt
homeless people actually canāt be rehabilitated if you want to end homelessness. we either affirm the right to shelter for the worst drunken, lying, filthy, cheating, self destructive homeless people that exist, genuinely irredeemable wankers, or we concede that shelter is not a right
This post is the distilled essence of everything I believe in.
Just to add, there will also always be an itinerant part of the population that will be wandering around. Giving people homes is one side of the coin, safeguarding Ramblerās Rights like making encampments and free movement is the other. Providing resources while also making people safer from police violence in general has to be among our goals.

every time i talk about eugenics abortion being bad, people assume i want to legally ban or restrict abortion of disabled fetuses, instead of noticing that sex-selective abortion is a similar issue with similar solutions that have nothing to do with legal anything.
disability activists generally want the following things, in order to reduce eugenics abortion:
- no more pressuring pregnant people to abort disabled fetuses or shaming them for choosing to carry the pregnancy to term (in case youāre wondering, doctors absolutely do this) - no more pressuring disabled and/or mentally ill pregnant people to have abortions or shaming them for choosing to stay pregnant (doctors do this too) - no more devaluing disabled peopleās lives in pro choice rhetoric, such as by bringing up disabled fetuses as an argument or āgotchaā when arguing with people who think all abortion should be illegal - active valorization of disabled people and involving us in the leadership of pro-choice organizations - pro-choice organizations addressing the prevalence of doctors and society pressuring people into eugenics abortions - pro-choice organizations actively challenging and critiquing ableism in their movements, historically and currently - establishment of better support systems for disabled parents and parents with disabled children - better health care and better access to it
disabled people who criticize the eugenics abortion are not your enemies. we donāt want to force or pressure anyone to stay pregnant or to terminate. please acknowledge that itās frankly terrifying for us when a fellow pro choice person directly defends the ethics of eugenics abortion to us.
WHY THE HELL IS IT THAT IF I SAY āNO THANKS, I DONāT LIKE ORANGE JUICEā PEOPLE ACCEPT THAT AND NEVER OFFER ME IT AGAIN
BUT AS SOON AS I SAY āNO THANKS, I DONāT LIKE BEER/WINE/ALCOHOLā PEOPLE TAKE THAT AS AN INVITATION TO TRY AND FORCE IT ON ME AT EVERY OPPORTUNITY
NO, I DONāT THINK YOU UNDERSTAND I DO NOT LIKE THE TASTE I DONāT WANT TO āGET USED TO ITā OR āACQUIRE THE TASTEā JUST LEAVE ME ALONE STOP TRYING TO GET ME TO DRINK
can you talk about being intersex and cis? how do you know if you're cis or trans when you're intersex? i promise this isn't meant to be rude i'm just a little confused as to how gender works when you're intersex. thank you so much. <3
Iām cis because Iām afab and still identify as a woman. If I was afab and identified any other way, Iād be trans. Iām intersex because my body itself has a mixed bag of secondary sex characteristics and hormones.
The label āintersexā itself isnāt a gender identity as much as itās a way for people with mixed or ambiguous sex characteristics to define that experience. There are cis men and women who are intersex, trans people of every kind as well. Iām sure there are intersex people who just identify as intersex entirely but most intersex people Iāve met still identify as male, female, or nonbinary. Because your body doesnāt determine your gender identity.
Also, the opposite of intersex is perisex. You can be cis or trans, while being intersex or perisex. If youāre not intersex, you are perisex.
Yāall can reblog this actually
Nobody knows anything about intersex ppl so like. Learn things and educate others so people like me can feel less isolated and alienated by other queer ppl lol
growing up as a cis girl the patriarchy told meĀ āyouāre a girl because of the way you were born, there is nothing you can do about this, you have no say in your genderā and i hated being a girl because it wasnāt my choice it was a prison and the trans community told meĀ āyouāre a girl because you say so, your view of yourself is the most important thing, if you change your mind that would be okā and it made me proud to be a girl and feel empowered in my gender and i wasnāt trapped anymore and then terfs come along and tell meĀ āyouāre a girl because of the way you were born, there is nothing you can do about this, you have no say in your gender (but like in a woke way)ā and they somehow expect me to be on their side?

Hereās the opposite story, though. With apologies because I donāt have the book in front of me, so I may get some details wrong, but I read this āIrenaās Childrenā by Tilar J. Mazzeo.
Irena lived in Warsaw during the Nazi occupation, and dedicated her life to rescuing Jewish children from the Ghetto, and her story is complicated in a lot of ways but - well, this story isnāt actually about Irena, per se.
Itās about a bus driver.
Itās about a day when sheās traveling across town by bus with a very young Jewish child, and partway to their destination the child looks up and asks a question - in Yiddish. and the whole bus goes quiet, because everyone knows what that means. And Irena thinks, okay, weāre going to die here today.
And sheās running through her options - all of them bad - and suddenly the bus stops, and the bus driver announces that thereās been a mechanical failure and the bus needs to return to the depot immediately. Everyone off, please.
And she stands and goes to get off the bus and the driver says - not you two. Sit down. So she sits down as everyone else leaves, because, well, what else is she going to do? the options are all still bad, at this point.
and when the bus is empty the bus driver says,
āWhere do you need to go?ā
And then he drives them as close to their destination as he can, and lets them off, and drives away. And Irena lives, and the kid lives, and they never cross paths again.
So a janitor got three people killed, and a bus driver saved two lives - not to mention all the other lives indirectly saved because Irena was able to continue her work.
I think about that almost every day now, to be honest.
We canāt all be Irena. I couldnāt be Irena. She was in a unique place with very specific skills and connections that let her do what she did. I am just one mentally ill librarian. I canāt be her. But - I can be the bus driver. Or I could be the janitor. Because it doesnāt matter what your job is. It doesnāt matter who you are. In a world like this, every single one of us has the opportunity to do massive harm or massive good. We can save lives or end them.
And thatās scary. but itās also very comforting? at least for me. Because at the end of the day it means this: no matter of how small and helpless and unimportant you feel, youāre never powerless in the face of great evil.
You can choose to be the bus driver.
