When interpreting Thunderbolts*, specifically Bob, through the lens of Bipolar Disorder I think there are obvious flaws in the metaphor, but what it does really well is depict how it can affect other people. This is obviously seen with The Void Rooms but even the fight with Sentry. This isn't to demonize the condition but especially for children with a parent that has Bipolar Disorder it is important to show that it can and does impact others sometimes negatively and that isn't a bad thing necessarily not when it is not in their control. The battle with Sentry shows that that sense of grandiose, the ego that can comes with the highs, reduces everyone else to nothing even super soldiers are useless against him. The Void, however, makes sure to drag everyone else down with him setting the mood and emotion for the city just as the lows of Bipolar Disorder can set the mood and emotion if a household. Now, this metaphor works best to describe the worst of the impact of Bipolar Disorder how it not only consumes the person with it but those around them. Of course, in a film where the mentally ill character is used as a weapon of the villain there's not a lot of room for the positives of it but I think for the sake of the film (most Lewis Pullman's incredible acting) you see the humanity of each facet of the character which is done beautifully and does a decent job especially through the rest of the Thunderbolts* to just go 'yep, this is part of you and we'll deal with it together' which is really nice. Sorry if this doesn't make sense or isn't well articulated the idea popped in my head and I tried to get it all down quickly.
if danganronpa was made in 2025 hajime would have the neuralink chip instead of a lobotomy
Are people on Tumblr aware that you can customize your kudo message??
got it from this twt post (has more stuff in the thread)

there's something so good about a character who hasn't had enough comfort and warmth in their life and now has weird complicated kinda sexual feelings about being treated with actual basic respect and dignity and they feel like an awful gross pervert for it. i like those wires getting crossed
writing your fave having sex with with their love interest is OUT writing your fave shamefully jerking off and coming pathetically fast at just the idea of fucking their love interest is IN
Island mode is actual bullshit
meow
This is what these two look like in a nutshell (Hajime is fine)
If i ever see another "yasuhiro is a stoner who shouldn't have made it to the end!" Post it'll be too soon
Firstly, that man's defining trait is not a stoner; its crazy racist to assume a black man is a stoner just because hes a little weird; and by sidelining him as a stoner, you are ignoring the more interesting, way weirder Yasuhiro personality that this guy actually inhabits.
But secondly: HIM BEING USELESS AND LIVING IS THE POINT!! The point is war and tragedy do not care who is "useful" and who is "useless" when deciding its victims! That you survive a tragedy does not make you better than those who didn't, it just makes you luckier!! The point of Yasuhiro is that cruelty and bloodshed will have its way with anyone, no matter the life they lived, and that you are still a valuable person worth living even if youre kind of a fuck up!! AAAAAAAAAAAAH
very endearing text from my brother today asking me for a list of everything i have ever been interested in so he can find an appropriate christmas gift for me

something they don’t tell you about being autistic is that every character you write WILL end up autistic/autistic-coded whether you like it or not
same goes for being aromantic/asexual. every character WILL come out at least a little aspec
if you reblog this and purposefully remove the second addition i Will block you.
Got silly....World destroyer spidersona.
My deaf spiderwoman OC, Marisol 🕷
Miles knows ASL and even tho it's the Insomniac version of him Imma headcanon all versions of Miles know ASL because that cool asf!
Y-yeah..yeah. You know this was gonna happen.
(Based Golden-Orb silk weavers)
also, completely unrelated. don’t have to listen to me. but also…hear me out.
pheromones are a thing with the spider-people. the most egregious example i can think of is literally when peter parker and cindy moon could not take their hands off of each other because they were literally attracted to each other from their pheromones. (not gonna dive into how silk’s origin is extremely fetishistic and orientalist rn)
so maybe…i was thinking…for every fan out there…just an idea to suggest.
i’m most certainly going to write a set of head canons about this.
China-based Spider-oc
My first image id. Hope this is right:
[Image ID: The first image shows a full-body reference of a Chinese Spider-person. Both the back and front are shown. The design is a play on the word 'China', as their body resembles a porcelain vase. Their body is mostly white and is adorned with blue floral patterns and has red highlights like the spider on their chest and on the tip of their toes. A blue dragon winds around their right arm. The description reads, "Cursed by an ancient spider spirit, this Spider-person now lives eternally within her own suit. It is possible to crumble the suit and escape, but it will regenerate around the inflicted individual."
The second image displays a more in-depth depiction of how the suit works. As the person throws a punch, the dragon on their arm moves along with the movement. The description reads, "the dragon swims through the procelain surface and is a sentient being itself. It sometimes moves along with attacks."
At the bottom, the face of the character is revealed. They have asian features and red eyes, along with moles on their nose. They have short hair that resembles a pixie cut. Next, the same illustration is shown, but with the character grimacing behind their mask. The mask is breaking apart, showing a portion of the character's face. The description reads, "the 'porcelain' can shatter when it takes too much damage. It will take time for the suit to regenerate." /.End ID]
