while cherry loved every episode she did for her youtube channel, there was something so special about the episodes where she got to have a guest on her show. it was always exciting, and always disappointing she was only allowed one guest per quarter. the blonde pops up into the camera with a bright smile anyway, waving excitedly at the camera. “hello everyone! and welcome to episode three of season eight in the adventures of kim cherry! i am your host, kim cherry, who cherish you all!” she smiles brightly.

“now everyone, you better be excited, because today’s episode we’re having a very special guest join us! i’m genuinely quite surprised we managed to get this guest to join us, because he’s quite a celebrity…” she bites her lip. “now, guest, please walk into frame and introduce yourself!” cherry walks a bit to the side, so there’s space for yushin within the camera frame.

yushin loves participating in youtube channels, collaboratively and with persons he'd worked with before. no doubt when the chance came up, yushin said heck yes to being on cherry's channel. he was off on the side, smiling when she started the introduction. he was completely at her mercy today, in the best way. he would do anything that they would need to, or talk about anything that was the topic on hand. lead the way. it was nice that she was already on season eight of the show, meaning that she remained consistent and kept this going. at his cue, yushin made his way to cherry's side, jogging in lightly as he did so, waving at her and at the camera.

while he was the guest, yushin also did not want to take away from the fact that the attention should be on cherry, the host, or the both of them together. "hey everyone! i'm lee yushin of v&a. happy to be here today and hope you will have me, cherry! if you know me, i'm always down for anything, even if i might not be great at it." he poses with two thumbs up before turning back to cherry. "so what will be our grand adventure today?"

▶▶ LOADING … project tva - the bard attempts to solve puzzles! ( solo )

he can barely solve puzzles in some of his nintendo games ( that free cat bento game, he's looking at YOU ) but yushin does feel that he has some street smarts. just not so much with these... riddles and quizzes. it makes him feel incredibly dim, but he's not going to let that get in the way of him having fun! hamming it up for the camera and being a little dramatic is nothing new to him, especially with chiori by his side. albeit he'd much rather not have a reputation for being daft. his skillsets lie elsewhere. such as... sewing together the riddles of life in a musical form. how's that!? anyways, not the point here. yushin had run into an easier riddle first, which had been naming type zero's fan club name, which he excited said, "zenith, of course!!!" and then he bumped into another question about v&a's debut music, which he felt was cheating at that point, because he was an original v&a member.

after a bit more walking, yushin finds himself with his mouth flattening as he stares off into the distance at what was a clue. but he couldn't tell if it was a legitimate one or not. yushin had been fooled a few stops back earlier, before the riddles and now he was tizzled! "this doesn't make any sense. chiori, paging over to minstar, over?" yushin's unsure if he has to actually say over, but it's so funny and taken from the movies he's watched over the years... "are you far from where i am? third floor um... near... near.... the center? i may need your assistance with your ability," he chuckles lowly. "okay. see you soon!"

▶▶ LOADING … project tva - the bard supports you! ( solo )

having chiori with him for this adventure is honestly quite sweet. but hilarious. he lives for these things. it feels almost like.. larp-ing in a way, however they call it. but he'd seen bits and pieces of idols doing funny things in malls growing up and now he's doing it here too with the tva group and their mascots. the plushies were genuinely so cute. but he'll be the first to say he's not spectacular at escape room or puzzles, but yushin's always had fun if nothing else. competitive streak could also hanker out and beat out the fact that he wasn't so great at puzzles, period. his first thought is holy cow, why is the mall so big? but it's a good thing that they were here during closure or having it closed off for the event rather than having it packed full of people. ( he could only imagine. ) having two bards in the group was quite funny to begin with but the walkie talkies could definitely help them out.

in a mall this vast, without having his walkie-talkie skill first, it sucked. going through the puzzles by himself and trying not to lose his mind, even with the staff's help. finally having seen one of his other comrades, his ability was activated and they were able to exchange walkie talkies. chiori and he do a little song of a sort ( flute noises.. flute noises... and some sort of cute chant. ) because hey, they're bards to 'activate' the ability. he didn't know if that was necessary but he'd find out in the aftermath, yushin supposes. "finally. thank god we ran into each other. now i can help you from a distance! let me know if you run into anyone else, or if hyoseop also catches any one of us others, so that we can all be in contact with each other." cheol's paladin skill would certainly come in handy later, especially if he was to encounter a "harder" question.

▶▶ LOADING … nintendo - choose your character ( solo )

yushin had thoughts. there was so many to pick from. problematic. especially with the amount of games he's consumed in the last while in contrast to the trajectory of his entire life? yea this was a lot. after this, he wouldn't ever admit it to nintendo but he'd likely take a break from the games. he realized that it was a good hobby to have in passing, but that it consumed time very quickly, in the same way that he usually found himself holed up in the studio. and.... now he could see why parents often chided their children for spending too much time on games. not the point! he's here to muse about his favouite.

"my favourite character is kirby!" yushin is positive on this one. there were a lot to pick from. "he's pink. round. happy. happy-go-lucky. always has buddies around him. can absorb your ability to make himself better. but he's still good as a standalone even without any assistance and can kick butt." that was the introduction.

"he goes on mini-adventures, through caves... in outer-space... goes racing for food. yea talk about being motivated by food but working out? that's what i'm talking about. kirby has a million side gigs too. sounds like a stint i could do on workdol," yushin laughs. "it's inspiring, truly."

"and he's kind of a chameleon. whenever he absorbs the enemy's skills and outfit. a moment on a dime, and in the blink of an eye. "and he can change colours too? blue kirby, i am all about that. but original pink kirby is the best. oh and lets not talk about how good he is in smash bros too..."

it's his second time with nintendo and he's enjoyed both times so far. the events were monstrously fun. if he could collaborate with nintendo long term or forever... well he's sure a lot of the others felt the same way. he isn't much of a hoarder but he has some tiny collectibles from his time with the collaborations and also in passing if he saw any cute, small-sized stuffies. playing the games... well. he still wasn't a huge gamer, but sign him up for short-term investment games, and he's in. with the upcoming interview in mind, yushin hopes to share a good side of himself in collaboration with nintendo.

"what's your favourite nintendo game of all time, and why?"

"it might be more of a niche answer. but i really enjoyed yoshi's story? i thought it was very cute to play as any colour of yoshi you wanted to, and go through the platformer as yoshi. nothing wrong about super mario but yoshi is where it's at. i love him. the story is pretty cute too, and the songs were absolutely peak... although it was very unfortunate when you lost a life and got sent away to the tower, which always felt bad. but it was great getting them back after improving in the game. the experience of playing it now is much different from when one is younger, yea."

"if you could live in any nintendo world, which one would you choose?"

"this one is hard! i could imagine being in any animal crossing universe and being buddies with the villagers (or worst enemies, haha.) but i think it'd be cool to be in the splatoon universe. and you get to stay fit and do battles with your team, or enemies. and they have a cool town to hang out in. and a pretty neat solo play storyline where i know less people play than the multi-player co-op. but all things being said, i'd enjoy that." he could have said something else more mystical like legend of zelda or the original final fantasies but... the battles in splatoon felt more safe. and so urban.

“how does gaming fit into your daily schedule, especially with a busy schedule?”

"i think that is why i like the portable consoles so much because it promotes busy people who aren't working from home, for example, to be able to play when they're out and on the go. and not having to be connected to wifi for select games, means that i can play a single player game on my own during a flight or during travels. portable consoles are goated!"

“did you not have a childhood of being disney whimsy? donald has so much lore!” jino laughs, shaking his head. “none of the above, just the good ol’ tossed in front of a television with cartoons on a saturday morning.” an hour or two of cartoons before breakfast and then a day full of clubs and activities. the moons of new zealand were nothing of the homebody-sort, jino had a jam-packed childhood — maybe this is where the treasure-trove of random facts came from. “don’t you know daisy duck?”

“ah,” jino had almost forgotten, alongside his momentary employment pause, erm — vacation — was also a break from his youtube channel. it had begun to be too much for him at the tail end of filming martine corporation, so he and his manager had agreed that it was a good time to step back. “that would have been a fire collab but i’m taking a break from that youtube stuff, i got so busy by the end of filming martine corp that i was kind of neglecting making videos. now would have been a great time for them but i think i need to just relax, focus on me and less ... stretching myself every-which way , y’know?”

jino actually calls him out with this statement because - no, yushin really didn't. cartoons sort of passed him during his time of growing up and he'd really jumped straight into watching a lot of english sitcoms and movies in an attempt to.. learn english. maybe english cartoons would have been a good area to start with but he never got that into disney as some other kids did. "uh............ the one with the bow?" he knew each of the main characters seemed to have a female counterpart. man he'd be in trouble if they did a disney collab! "i do know a little more about the modern disney pixar characters. like.... judy hopps - if we're sticking to animals."

"i think that makes sense. take a few steps away to focus on your acting bit." yushin nods, thumbs up. he envies the lifestyle the models and actors seemed to have with the variety of projects. he wondered if v+a would be permitted to ever have their own personal channels in the future... "are you aiming for a cretain type of project in the future? have you participated in any of the musicals within the company?"

he's loved every moment with the pokemon collaboration and working with nintendo. it's like a dream come true, being a kid who couldn't really get new consoles or handhelds, and now working with them? neat. he was never much of a gamer in his youth, but when he has time nowadays, he likes to pick up cozy games or look into his island on animal crossing... though he knows it's out with the old from switch 1, and into the new with switch 2 for most of them. good thing they could transfer data on the cloud. "hi cherry! good to work with you again. i am so down for modeling, even if its something i'm very good at, if i say so myself," yushin grins with two thumbs up, "but anything for a cozy, and a pokemon game - combined! did you get a chance to check it out yet? or do you have a favourite pokemon?" he wonders if they'll digitally put the pokemon over them, or have them pose with.. "ooh plushies," he holds up a ditto, and squishes it. "i'm thinking a cute pose would probably be the most appealing for the one with the greenscreen background. it's such a... cute game. i need to stop repeating that word."

cherry knew surprisingly little about pokemon and nintendos, considering she’d done multiple commercials for it. she was just… lost? she didn’t know a lot of stuff about a lot of stuff, and even when she took the time to learn a new bit of information, she’d usually just forget it again. she does feel like she should’ve researched the game, and that was her original plan, plan just didn’t go like she wanted it to… she’ll, do something though, she’ll wing it somehow, it seems like usually things work out for her.

“i didn’t get the chance to check it out” she shakes her head “but it’s nice to see you again, i feel like with both of our schedules, we rarely get to see each other anymore…”. it’d been like that with most people though, after becoming an actress and her youtube channel doing well, she didn’t have as much time for friends as she used to. “oh plushies! i love plushies!” there’s a smile showing up on her face, ready to model if it’s with these.

"can i say this? the nintendo collaborations are so fun that it doesn't feel like work..." he peeks around, having kept his voice low for cherry to hear and not for bystanders, but its not a bad thing. "i hope we get to work on some more of these commercials today, or activities for nintendo together. or if i ever get an opportunity to cameo in anything again on any of your acting projects... that'd be fun." yushin muses, missing acting from time to time, a big jump from his past. it'd been years.

"yes lets pick some that are cute. you can have first dibs. although if we had them match or look good together, that might be a bonus," yushin laughs, holding out one of original pokemon. "metamong (ditto) is so cute with its dot eyes. oh my god, wait, they have one of the duck. i forgot about psyduck." yushin felt psyduck was hilariously derpy... but so on brand for him to have something that is a duck. he was a bit conflicted as he turned to cherry, wanting them to have something that meshed more than him having this neon yellow duck in his hands. "did you find anything? if you don't know the name of it i could try to help you, but there's so many new pokemon now..."

pokemon pok–...? something!

while cherry’s passion very obviously was acting and hosting, it was fun to do other things too. cherry had never felt like she was particularly good at modeling, but modeling gigs were here and there sent her way, and cherry’s modeling skills very slowly improving. it did feel crazy to model for nintendo, even though this wasn’t her first time modeling for nintendo, she still felt kind of… starstruck? it was a bit unbelievable such a big brand wanted her to model for them, so when she got the opportunity to model for them once more, she was very excited.

truthfully cherry didn’t know much about the game “pokemon pokopia”, she’d promised herself to investigate the game and figure out what it was about before the photoshoot, but her terrible memory made her forget about that. so now she’s here, for the promotional photoshoot. she spots a familiar face she hasn’t seen in a hot minute, and walks over to the other “hey yushin!” she says, waving excitedly at the other. “ready to do some modeling?” she asks, tilting her head a bit to the side.

▶▶ LOADING … the haru special ( solo )

after the follow up of doctor doctor, he found it amusing that everyone was on the same team regarding contributing to the same song. see, there's a reason why tva worked so well. they were in synergy! the announcements were fantastic, and yushin was quite excited to add to his calendar for the remainder of 2026, but now it was up to decisions, decisions. time for him to reserve himself in his studio and pore through haru's discography again. he was familiar with most of the songs, especially since it was something that he took upon himself to know each of the artists under legacy entertainment, for the potential of having to write for them anytime in the future, even if he ever discontinued being active as an artist. (this is pre-planning for the far future, if anything. but at the end of it all, yushin truly enjoyed producing.) but now that he was facing the choices of these respective six songs... deep dive time!

there were several songs that were to his interest. rewind was pretty funky. light-hearted, a song that yushin genuinely had on repeat especially when it first came out. (yes, he genuinely wish that agito had gotten this song.) he also thought that my house would be really fun, since it was such a kitschy, amusing song with a reputation of its own. the music video had been such a hit and its remained big in terms of culture, having been covered many times throughout its lifetime... lastly, bet bet he liked simply for the musical line, and the falsetto and rap. it seemed to be the type of song that seemed to evade agito's discography so if he got bestowed with the opportunity to perform it, he'd love that. chic? is that the word? either way, he forwarded the selections to the team and he wouldn't be disappointed in whichever he received and whichever the other members of tva received as well.

"hey seop, what's up!" yushin was always excited around the other members, the extrovert within could not be contained. he couldn't help but laugh about the 'sweat' lines with repetition. sometimes it was the luck of the draw. "we have some parts where our lines go together, in that one verse. so that part will be nice. i think i only steal your 'sweat sweat' part once towards the end," he chuckles, trying to think back to which part everyone had. "for the amount of times you say sweat, i have to say sway." "but i am satisfied with my lines, yes." there were times in the past where he didn't love the distribution, whether it was too much of overtaking the entire song, or having too 'few' lines in his opinion. not that it was always up to them - it was up to the powers at large, and also whether the song fit a certain member more or not. "honestly i think agito gets cooler songs when we get to collaborate with type zero and versus, so i'm excited about variety! although, do you feel this song is different from the type of music type zero usually have?"

hyoseop had never really cared too much about lines, though he did enjoy showing off his rap, he understood not every song needed a rap part, he had gotten better at singing, was he good at singing though? not really. type zero hasn’t really ever had a lot of members while hyoseop was a part of the group, the most members was when he joined and they were five, being a small group meant there was more lines to give out. he honestly doesn’t care too much about his lines in sweat, he’s just happy to be participating.

“huh, look at us, sweat and sway duo” he chuckles “it’s a kind of repetitive song, but it’s also kind of really good, so i don’t mind” he shrugs. “i think i’m satisfied too yeah” he nods “but at the end of the day, lines don’t matter that much”.

“yeah, i feel like it’s different” he nods “this song is so summer-ish, and all bubbly, i’m used to type zero having such hard and serious vibes, so this is exciting” he hums. “is it different from what vna does?” he tilts his head a bit, looks at yushin with curiosity.

"yes, it's a little bit different. we usually have upbeat, or sometimes even jazzy songs? i don't think it's necessarily what is trending but we're like the 'opposite' side of what versus music is like. think.. easy-listening?" yushin tries to explain, though its harder to try to push all of their songs into one generic category. "

"although unless they give us full right to compose, i don't know if we have much ...sway in what our song choice would be for title tracks. do you like composing or do you have any interest in composing? or do you have interest in choreography?" yushin loved the creative side of being an idol, but he knows that everyone had different approaches to the career. "i'm happy when i like the title song they give us though, since we usually have to perform it so many times." and likely for the next few months on repeat.

and again if a concert happened in the future. the group was definitely smaller over time but he thinks that tva had good chemistry. "i wonder if they'll keep us as this unit for a prolonged time."

brrrup ba ba ba dum

with the loss of type zero members, it is pretty exciting to do something with other idols. lately, hyoseop has spent so so much time with iseul, and while the two have quickly become good friends, hyoseop does miss seeing other faces. so when he learned that vna and type zero was doing a project together, he was pretty excited. the concept was different from the concept type zero usually did, which excited hyoseop even more, he truly did enjoy trying out new concepts.

he’s sitting with yushin, a familiar face, yet one he hasn’t seen in a while, they’re going over their lines, for their new song “sweat”. “are you satisfied with your lines?” he turns to look at yushin, looking up from his paper. “i’m personally saying the word ‘sweat’ quite a lot of time, but i won’t complain” he shrugs. “it’s exciting vna and type zero gets to do more stuff together, i feel like we haven’t seen much of each other for a while”.

jino raises his hands, a mimic of a scale in a way — or was it reminiscent of the 6-7 meme — the question raised a million questions in gauge of personality, backstory, love interests and friendships. “donald does have a girl,” and maybe in his book that put him above daffy. daffy also seemed out of sorts, always, in the cartoons while donald seemed to carry a happy repertoire with his bestie, mickey.

“and he does seem happier.” jino laughs, eyebrows wiggling as he pushes back at yushin’s shoulder. “gotta keep you on your toes, y’know? who knows what the hosts are gonna throw at you at the reality shows.”

yushin cackles at that comment, looking at jino with a feigned scrutinizing expression. "you seem to know a lot more about animated ducks than i do, but that's fun for random factoids. almost too much. did you have a part time job with either one of those animation companies before? or a collaboration?"

"i'm not usually on variety alone typically... usually with my group." but his group was getting smaller and smaller over time. so truthfully, it felt like he as an individual had more area to cover nowadays, but thankfully years of training and experience made it second nature. "although there are some variety shows i'd like to appear on. speaking of, how's your youtube channel going, bud? need a... duck feature?"

▶▶ LOADING … synthetic vibe ( songwriting solo )

yushin has a few projects where he's been working on self-produced pieces, but he also enjoys working with others on a puzzle piece that is composed of a frame already, with an idea in place, someone else's lines and they're there to play madlibs and fill in the blanks, professionally, of course. and he likes this. it's nice to not have to conjure up what the theme and vibe is, especially when they already had some lines in some main areas like verses and choruses. there were some things that seemed to elude to lovesickness in the lyrics, which hey- yushin thinks he has a knack for writing lovelorn songs. the beat is nice, and quite mellow, which he likes and can work with. ( granted he thinks he could work with most pieces of music from sheer experience. )

after replaying the song a few times, and continuing to have it in the background, he goes through the lyrics that are already there and tries to find some segments such as the missing pieces of the chorus to put in something catchy. 'it's the l-o-v-emergency.' 'l-o-v-eternally.' he plays around with a few other sections, musing about because there are a few segments for rappers but it's a vocal-powered song for sure. 'think i got a fever, yeah she callin' me a heater'. definitely a bit cheesy but maybe someone else would have a better recommendation. hey, these are simply suggestions, not the end all be all, especially as a collaborative piece. much more time passes, and yushin has only filled in a few blanks. there's the hope that some others will also be contributing to it and that is how a song is formed, the producing industry's version of a conception turned to reality when picked up by the artist. good night.

THE MIGHTY DUCK WARS

introducing the scene: a spring day, two dudes on a bench, minding their business. han river lay peaceful in the background, people in and out, loitering about, some on picnic blankets, others running in the humidity; jino sits, with his shades on — admiring the sun as it beats on them. damn, it was hot, but hey — at least he'll get a nice tan out of this day. his fingers flick at the ends of his hair, it was getting long, maybe he should also schedule a barber session while he was at it.

amidst this peace, a quack echoes in the distance and it brings a question to mind. his finger points to the distance, drawing @lgcyushin attention to the duck in question. “donald or daffy?” then the question gets more specific, “who’d you want to be if you could choose.”

"that's a wild question," yushin laughs, pulling his eyes away from a brown mallard duck, raising his brow at jino, clearing his throat. the sun is a welcome hello because it's been such a dreary winter, and at the first chance of free time (does that exist?) and sun, he changes his dhampir-esque lifestyle back into being a human. until he squirrels away in the studios again... "i think donald duck. because he sometimes seems happy. although why are the two ducks so stressed out all the time... is there a non-stressed out duck? scrooge looks stressed too," he trails off, hand on his chin in thought.

"but in all seriousness, donald duck. he seems to have a good foundational support system built up, but to be frank, i don't know all that much about him." yushin moves over to poke at jino. "that beats the question where people ask me about cheese, but i'm always all prepared for those. this- this is new."
