...gorgeous.
Saw this today...........blew me away. This will be on my year end list.
I've been gone for way too long,
I don't need anyone,
All is fine... as you know,
And it seems like I cling to anything,
While I've got nowhere to go
Here are a couple of shots I took at @silver_snakes release party 4/5. Awesome band amazing new cd and the nicest dudes. Bridgetown DIY

Feb 27, 2014. First was the 1.5hr drive down the 5s. I remember driving down the freeway a little afraid and anxious. I had never been to this venue (Soda Bar) before and was driving from LA to San Diego, I wasn’t sure where exactly I was heading to. When I got to the venue, it was revealed that it was a dive bar (In the best sense of the word) with a tiny little 2 ft high stage in the back. I remember getting there early before any of the bands set up, said hi to the boys in ghost parade and ordered a beer. I slid over to the right side of the stage and got ready to enjoy the show. First up was Ghost Parade from San Francisco, I have seen these guys perform once in SF before and was ready to be blown away again. The last time I saw GP, Justin their lead singer seemed unbelievably nervous. This time was the same, Justin grabbed the mic and talked about how great it was to be on the bill with their buds Idlehands. He seemed coy and restrained at first, talking to take away his nervousness and let everything go. And then he was counted in by his drummer Javi, and everything was released. Justin hurled his voice to the audience and held nothing back. The mic was getting yelled at and Justin was in command. Cut over to George (lead guitar) and you could see him getting into his rhythm by the end of the first song. It never fails to see bands compliment each others skills so well, George did a great time providing backing vocals for the whole set. I was pleasantly surprised by the bassist who seemed to transport to a different world completely, he would jump on and off stage dancing and swinging his bass like he was in batting practice. From there the band played through 5 songs with huge intensity and vigor. Its so endearing to see a band who truly love playing for the sake of playing and have no ulterior motives. GP drove from SF to San Diego to play a show in a tiny bar and had so much playing. GP’s music is a mix of so much, I hate to classify it because people can get turned off because its not their “type” of music or not something they would typically listen to. Ghost Parade just makes good rock music and everyone should go out and check them out.
