I wanna do a 'what if' thing of if Gorillaz and Splatoon ever colabed (which realistically would never happen) but trying to design characters for it feels so limiting

Idk if its just me but it seems like all the Inklings and Octolings have the same face and body shape/height, which as someone who loves variety in what I draw SUCKS, not to mention if I'm doing the whole band (which I'm still debating on) Russel is a big guy, I can't use anything for reference on how that game would design him

I considered making him and Murdoc creatures other than Ink/Octolings but on top of me possibly trying to tackle how to color like Splatoon, seems like a pain in the ass to learn how to draw non-human characters in that style

New tutorial I have for y'all ever since I'm doodling.

Crk Edition!

Study crk style, usually circles, rectangles, squares, and maybe circles depending.

Create your poses!

make sure to color code each shape (this will be very important!)

3. Draw a "long" version of your crk pose with the corresponding shapes you color coded.

I forgot to color code this one but I put the shapes of the torso and hips and extended them before doing the limbs.
