Shout out to those who are having a hard time right now. This is only temporary.
The unfortunate thing about this world is that good habits are so much easier to give up than bad ones
Somerset Maugham (via recovery-experts)
I just found you. I just found out you moved back. You did terrible things to me. Its been almost 4 years now. But I still love you so much. I know if I hadn't of moved I would try to get in touch with you. Then I would be back sneaking around and doing drugs. Back to my old life. So this is good right? That I'm states away now. That I'm sober. But what if you are too? Do you ever think of me? I hope so.
Sitting by the fire with a fat cat in my lap on this chilly evening. I got a new sponsor and finally found a home group! I'm taking the college placement test in 2 weeks. Family is coming over for thanksgiving. I can finally sponsor women. Life is pretty good. I so fucking grateful to be alive and sober!
Do it for you and not for them.
Bipolar Disorder is NOT being "happy" or "sad".
Recovering is fucking hard, no matter how long or how short you’ve been doing it.
If you’re a day into your recovery, fucking great job. You’re kicking ass.
If you’re a week into your recovery, holy shit bro you’re incredible. Keep going, you’ve got this.
If you’re a year into your recovery, how the hell are you so amazing. Like are you a super hero? What’s even going on here?!
If you’re thinking about going into recovery, I’m so proud of you. You’re about to do a wonderful thing for your life.
Recovery warriors are the strongest people out there. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise.
Trauma isn’t about who had it worse. Traumas don’t exist to be compared. Your trauma is valid. Your pain is valid. You. You are valid.

Powerful affirmations
I can achieve greatness.
I love and accept myself for who I am.
My body is healthy.
My mind is brilliant.
My soul is tranquil.
I believe I can do everything.
Everything that is happening now is happening for my ultimate good.
I am the architect of my life.
I forgive those who have hurt me and peacefully detach from them.
My potential to succeed is infinite
I abandon my old habits and take up new, more positive ones
Silence can be deadly. Speak up.
Just a quick reminder:
Selfishness is putting the wants of yourself over the needs of others.
Self respect is putting the needs of yourself over the wants of others.
One is disregarding others, one is taking care of yourself.
The difference between the two is the difference between being a friend and a doormat.
Taking care of yourself does not make you a bad person.
I repeat:
Taking care of yourself does not make you a bad person.
You can be a good person with a kind heart and still say no.
