happy pride month to arcade gannon and veronica santangelo!!! both characters discuss their gayness very explicitly in dialogue and it features prominently in their stories and character motivations! <3<3

also happy pride to this thing that can hit on men and/or women or neither (e.g able to flirt with arcade to obtain him as a follower if playing as male) with TONS of opportunities to express their chosen queerness in dialogue.

reminder that this game came out in 2010 and the US didn’t legalise gay marriage across all 50 states until 2015. the UK (where i’m from) also hadn’t legalised it until 2013-2014 (with NI being weird and shitty and waiting until 2019).

so yeah this game is sooooo fucking queer and i love it.

here’s more info on the history of queerness in fallout!! (dating back to the original first game in 1997. (the first country to legalise gay marriage was the netherlands in 2001).
