my messy Sonic x Silver wallpaper story analysis and sonilver analysis in general
The story itself is simple and clear, Silver goes back in time to prevent a disaster and Sonic helps him, but the difference is that if you think about it, this is the first time Silver and Sonic worked together side by side, without any rivalry and without other characters
Which is interesting as for me because I think it shows the development of their relationship with each other well when they go from being fool "enemies" who try to do something alone to joining forces to help people, which is very cool! Both Sonic and Silver are selfless guys who are ready to do anything for the well-being of people and such a combination of their similarities brings them together well
But the differences are also important. Silver is straightforward and says everything as it is, no matter how stupid it may sound, while Sonic prefers to remain silent and think when possible, plus he knows Silver well enough to accurately assume how he would behave in any situation. For example, Silver in this story already says that he wanted to warn everyone of danger, but no one believed him, to which Sonic assumed that Silver said something like "im from the future, believe me" which turned out to be true. This is an interesting and funny moment in my opinion, because it shows their differences in their actions, how they would act in the same situation
An important moment with "heroes" and how this is reflected in their dialogues. Neither Sonic nor Silver ever call themselves heroes, they only say that they just like helping others, having adventures and simply do not want to see the destruction of their world. However, at the same time, they consider each other heroes, Sonic calls Silver a hero from the future and when Silver is one step away from dying from a headache, he screams that he "will be his hero", although it would seem that in fact he simply shares the work with him because Silver, despite the fact that he may know the details of the situation inside and out, which is why he tells Sonic the story of the bridge, is still inclined to do everything on his own without thinking about or analyzing the situation. In turn, Sonic remembers the little things from what Silver told, analyzes them and in a matter of minutes (not without the help of the emerald) helps Silver assemble the bridge. This is another example of how they complement each other because no matter how you look at it, they wouldn't have been able to assemble the bridge without each other's help and contribution, which can also affect their conditional future joint adventures, I hope they will
It seems to me that in Sonic there are no heroes as such IN THE USUAL UNDERSTANDING, because in Sonic it's not some kind of position or job, what the heroes do in Sonic is more of a way of life and sincere concern for what surrounds the characters, it doesn't even have to be saving something from Eggman, because in this story, for example, there are no villains at all, but at the same time Sonic still calls Silver a hero for his desire to save the well-being of people, for the fact that he sacrificed what he could just to see the happiness of others, therefore Silver, as the embodiment of hope and optimism, despite the fact that he is wilted, still helps people despite the fact that he is physically very tired
The important thing is that Silver is not the kind of hero who necessarily fights evil so that the world is calm, rather the opposite, he supports the preservation of peace. Like, yes, it sounds similar, but in fact these are different concepts because eradicating evil and maintaining peace are different, and the second suits Silver more at least because he has never been embarrassed to do things that are not at all "heroic" in the usual sense for the sake of preserving peace (literally 06 and raivals). In general, I think specifically in this story, the concept of "hero" in relation to Silver is more important than to Sonic
An important part for them is trust. In general, on the Sonic Channel in the chart of relationships with characters, the team of Sonic and Silver is described as "great trust" or smf, which is basically the basis of their relationship. Not only did Silver, in principle, despite his stubbornness and tendency to do everything alone, turn to Sonic for help because he knows that he can be relied on, Sonic also trusts Silver when it comes to assembling the bridge, to which Silver responds with a wide smile. And Silver's trust in Sonic is confirmed by the fact that he himself says that "as soon as he arrived and saw Sonic, he knew that everything would be fine," which are pretty strong and confident words, because Silver, despite the fact that he can change the future, cannot predict it, so his words are based on the fact that he strongly trusts Sonic, and Sonic trusts him
As I already mentioned, one of the important things in their dynamics is that Silver and Sonic complement each other in those places where they have gaps when it comes to the same teamwork, for example. Toyoda says that Sonic can definitely rely on Silver because he trusts him and Sonic likes in Silver what he himself does not have and the same with Silver
Silver is more open to emotions and is ready to meet everything face to face no matter what, which is what Sonic likes about him
In turn, Silver likes in Sonic the fact that he behaves freely and independently in any situation, that he can calmly assess the situation and can be relied once
