I really disliked the implications in Burn Bright about Bran's feelings for Mercy; I found it creepy, out of character, and unfounded by any of the other books. There's no evidence that he thinks of her in any way but as his daughter.

So I recently finished SF. Took longer than I wanted for me to get the book in the first place but anyway... I loved the story but I really hope there are babies in Adam and Mercy's future!

Am I the only one who sees that Samuel is a pedophile? A 1000 year old guy goes after and seduces a girl at 15, after both her parents have died and there's no one to watch out for her 24/7 (her timeline was clearly laid out in book 1), and somehow everyone is okay with this and forgives Samuel? Apologizing in book 2 just erases his wrong?

Welcome to the pack! I feel so bad because this was asked so long ago (sorry). I’m a full time masters student with 2 jobs, so I was burnt out for a little bit and didn’t log on until now. Never feel bad about sending me a message though, I’m a big time fan and love talking about the series with everyone.
Ummmm, no authors come to mind when I think of fanfics, but I know I’ve seen some when looking through the Mercy Thompson tag and they were pretty good! You can also find cool fanart floating around. I try and post tid bits here (like discarded book cover concepts) when I can find them.
Have you read the comics? I think there’s three versions and that’s what I use when making the confessions backgrounds. They’re a great source for back stories and side stories.

Burn Bright Confessions
Hey Y’all! So since Burn Bright just came out confessions have started coming in! I’ll be posting previous confessions building up until 2 weeks from now. Hey Y’all! So as fellow book worms, I was hoping we could all come together and make a list of book series we think everyone would like to read that are kinda urban fantasy like the Mercyverse is!
2 series that come to mind for me are ...
The Fever Series by Karen Marie Moning, and The Night Huntress Series by Jeaniene Frost
I would suggest reading Moning’s Highlander romance series before her Fever series since characters make appearances, but you can get through them just fine without reading the Highlander series.

Since the Mercy books always come out in March, I look forward to my birthday all the more. As though PB releases them as a Happy Birthday to Me especially; I grin like a cat that ate the canary through the whole transaction.

More a question than confession. I keep seeing references to it, but can't for the life of me remember in which book it happened. When did Charles run off Coyote? Is that revealed in a book or short story? I can't believe I missed that or forgot about it.
No problem! Now don’t quote me on the chapter, but I’m pretty sure it’s at the end of chapter 8 in River Marked! It’s during the conversation where Coyote is telling Mercy about when he found out about her and saw her playing with the wolves. Hope that helps!
