Hello tumblr AroAce community !! I have a question for you

I’ve been thinking about this for a while so; would anyone be interested in a group about being fiction/fan fiction readers and writers?? Cuz I sure would want one.

See, for a while now, I’ve noticed that when it comes to discussing fiction, headcanons, ocs etc etc Aspec people sometimes get talked over/forgotten/ignored. And honestly, I think a lot of people can relate to getting misunderstood or even disregarded in discussions about many things in fiction. I’m pretty sure a lot of people can relate to being even frustrated when their headcanon or a confirmed AroAce spec character in media gets watered down to “AroAce people still can date.” Which is true, I’m aware, but can’t we for once have something? Or saying how you love a character so much and it getting interpreted by eeeveryone as some sort of romantic/sexual attraction. Or when you love a fictional ship but you don’t think anyone gets it in a way that you do.

Those are just few examples I can think of but my point is — I want to make a Tumblr group community where ANY aspec people can share their love for fiction and being nerdy. Where no one will talk over your aspec headcanons, ships, characters and any experience with fiction (even when said fiction includes romance, cuz personally? I’m a sucker for romance in fiction.) I want it to be community surrounded by other aspec or allies people who also just want to talk about their favorite media with other aspec people.

Anyone on aspec can join. Even if someone is just for example aromantic, and just wants to share about their love for romance in fiction? Absolutely. Allies would be welcome too obviously but mostly I want to focus on it on aspects of aspec representation in media, and aspec people experiences with any media.

My idea comes from the fact that I am a writer myself and an artist. I adore reading romance in fiction, sometimes even smut, just for the exploration of dynamics and psychology behind it since personally — i cannot relate to it at all. I have friends who also adore fiction and everything to do with it but, i don’t think they really understand me. So my question is

Should I start a group on here for AroAce people to talk about everything mentioned above and even more?
