Unpopular opinion: The S3 teaser kinda threw me off, because Sam as Lestat seems, imho, to be laying it on a bit thick (don't get me wrong, I adore Sam with all my heart, he's a brilliant actor 😭). But then I remembered Louis's utter indifference to Lestat devouring that photo Louis disliked. And it hit me: Lestat really has to crank it up to eleven just to get a flicker of attention from his ✨gorgeous husband✨ (The truth is Louis has eyes only for Lestat 😌)

It's funny — I only realized after finishing this AU (where Lestat saves Louis and Claudia before the trial) why Lestat probably couldn't do something like that in the canon 🥲
I understood that Lestat was too weak to save them both, which is why he focused on saving Louis. But now I see that with the coven constantly watching him, Lestat had no way to warn his family beforehand (I know it's obvious, sorry) ANYWAY, I still love this fic and the au where this unholy family is alive 😭❤️ I'm happy to share this with you!

So beautiful he glows ✨
i love how s1e7 sometimes frames louis being between lestat and claudia, as they fight to keep him on their respective side... i mean, the most obvious one is the dance scene, where each of them asks him for a dance and persuades him, in their own way.
but i think my favorite scene is them discussing their plan, "let the flesh instruct the mind" one. this scene is really well done visually!
louis is quite literally standing between them, holding on to the backs of their chairs. a great visual representation that he can't truly pick a side.
claudia stands up, as to get closer to louis, almost as she wants them to present a united front against lestat. louis doesn't move away, listening to claudia's every word.
and then lestat physically and somewhat roughly drags louis closer to him, and louis lets him. all louis' attention is on lestat now. claudia's smile drops immediately too... she knows what lestat is doing.
Are we really going to discuss Armand calling Claudia "Claudia de Lioncourt"??? I'm sure Louis was very annoyed that his daughter wasn't given his last name 😡
Hey everyone, just to be clear — I’m not saying Lestat wasn’t Claudia’s father or that her last name isn’t de Lioncourt. He was her creator, so of course that’s her name. 🧐
👉My point was really about Armand — he's the one manipulating here by calling her that. It's a calculated move, and Louis is visibly annoyed by it👈
And honestly, I’ve been thinking about the twitter post since yesterday — the one pointing out how Louis loved Claudia deeply, but Lestat did the actual parenting: teaching her to hunt, teach her to drive a car, speak French, play piano, play chess… etc
Louis’s perspective kind of overshadows it, but Lestat really was as responsible a parent as he could’ve been. Anyway, no fighting please — I’m really just here for the dumb jokes ❤️

Interview with the Vampire ❤️
OMG, if you guys knew how I screamed when I first saw this! Just look at their pathetic faces 😌🫦 The gayness is off the charts, lmao
I still think that the main problem of series!Loistat is that Lestat fell in love with Louis when Louis was pretending to be cruel and harsh with his own brother. Essentially, Lestat fell in love with his own fantasy, not the real Louis. In other words, Lestat fell for a performance, and that's why he later blamed Louis for not being cruel enough
I can imagine with what sadness and sorrow Lestat recalled the times when Louis valued his company and conversation above his own solitude and books 💔
The end. The beginning.
Louis (is one step away from divorce with Lestat) is laughing hysterically at the line "The secret to immortality is never get married." Louis, don't pretend: 👉your immortality and your marriage happened on the same day 👈
TV series Lestat: lives in the lap of luxury, buys Louis an elite business to make him happy, holds the view that " my husband shouldn't have to work" 💅💶 Book Lestat: lives in poverty, turned Louis into a vampire simply to take over his plantations🌚 (we all know it's Louis's pov, BUT you get what I mean)
