What is the After Camlann Big Bang? It's a fandom fest that pairs writers with artists in order to create epic fanworks inspired by the world and characters of the BBC show, Merlin!

Please remember - when posting to tumblr, please name ship/characters/gen relationship, the prompt(s) you're filling, the wordcount and, if needed, rating + warnings (so, for example: "Fill for @merlinmicrofic prompt 'Victorian', Merlin/Freya, Mature, MCD") at the top of your post!

Prompts can be interpreted loosely, although if you pick the dialogue prompt, the line should make an appearance!

Remember, your fic has to be 500 words or shorter! For an additional challenge, make it an exact drabble (100 words to the point!)

Fandom Trumps Hate 2026 Merlin offerings are available for you to BID on!!!

What's all this about? It’s an opportunity for fans to donate to some excellent charities with important and wonderful causes, and then to receive a custom fanwork in return as thanks! Fans can bid on a specific creator they would like to receive their thank-you fanwork from!

Bidding closes Sat, Mar 7th @ 8pm EST.

If you are the highest bidder, proof of your donation will be due by March 18th. Do not donate until AFTER you have received CONFIRMATION from the mods that yours was the winning bid!

There are 38 offerings for the Merlin fandom! See them all HERE on DreamWidth! Each post include instructions for how to bid on that offering.

Camelot Remix is back for 2026! But what’s a remix, you ask?

A remix is where a fanwork creator takes another person’s fanwork and creates a new fanwork which is based upon the original work.

How does this whole thing work?

Basically, you will be assigned someone who has also signed up for the fest and will be asked to remix one of their fanworks, and someone else will be asked to remix yours. We always do our best to match people with someone we think will be a good match, but of course, we can only match you up with people who sign up! Need more info? Round #2 is a free-for-all, which means anyone who wants to can claim a prompt. That includes:

Glompees (as long as it’s not your own prompt).

People who are not officially signed up for the fest.

How long do I have to submit a claim?

In addition to being open to all, Round #2 is also a  ⚡LIGHTNING ROUND⚡ which means the claiming form will be open for 48 HOURS (until 2 Feb at 2pm PST / 5pm EST / 10pm GMT) or until all the prompts are claimed, whichever comes first. Any prompts not claimed after this point will be offered to our pinch-hitters as needed. 

As in Round 1, claims will operate on a first come, first served basis, so you’ll need to get in quick to nab your first choice. Shake a leg there, lazy daisies!

If you’re not familiar with FTH, it’s an opportunity for folks to make donations to charity, and then to receive a custom fanwork or fan labor as a thanks for the donation. You can participate with literally any and all fandoms, including, of course, our own favorite Merlin!

Sign-ups for CREATORS are open now! You can sign up for digital creations (fic, art, podfic, video, etc), fan labor (such as betaing), and/or physical creations (anything you can make) in the crafts bazaar!

Magic in Camelot is a crime worse than high treason. Guess what, Merthur fans? We’re back!

Yes, Merthur Glompfest is returning in January 2026 for another round of fabulous fanworks, just for you 😘

What is a Glompfest, you ask?

A Glompfest is a gifting fest designed as a way for fandom creators to give back to those fans who wouldn’t usually be eligible to take part in a typical exchange fest.

How does it work?

Glompees (readers, lurkers, commenters, or fandom supporters of any stripe) will be asked to provide a prompt or prompts for glomping, which will then be claimed by Glompers (fandom creators, fic writers and fanartists) and filled according to the Glompee’s request. Completed works will then be posted to our AO3 Collection and shared here on Tumblr for everyone’s enjoyment!
