White and blue, green and gray
In all I see, in all I say
High and higher I went up the cliff
Since my early days adrift
Waves crashing and blending skies
Thunderous greatness never shies
Mixing paint with my brush
Waking my senses with every rush
The only love I’ve ever knew
Was for the ocean, the big old blue
Trying to capture even the smell
My canvas and I finally fell
The towering mountain was too steep
And I saw myself heading deep
Holding my art and my affection
All of a sudden I felt a protection
Held with care by my valentine
The water, strong intertwine
“Don’t fear” I heard it cry
“I won’t hurt you, I won’t let you die”
Away from the rocks and onto the sand
The sea now calm so I could stand
The cold was filled with a warm feeling
For a moment I thought I was dreaming
That’s when it said gentle and slow
“When I’m high and when I’m low,
Beauty is all that you portray.
Thank you for loving me everyday
You make my dark times brighter,
When I touch you, you smile wider.
Your attraction to me is unmistakable
And mine to you forever unbreakable”
White and blue, green and gray
In all I see, in all I say
High and higher I go again
For this love I can’t contain
