Finally getting around to doing this, I'm not really feeling the Merrill, mostly because I don't feel like I write her very well and I've sort of moved on, ESO early access came out a while ago and beta has been going on and I made a skyrim ooc cause nords. If any of you actually want to rp with me I'm active on didsomebodysaydragons , who knows maybe I'll be back on Merrill but not now.

Merrill screamed when he shot her biting her lip so hard it too started bleeding. She took a few deep breaths and looked up to find a gun pointed at her face. She had never seen a gun before she didn't know how it worked either. What she did know is what it had done to her leg. "I don't believe you! Why would you care at all for me? I don't know why you even bothered to help me in the first place." Her voice was quiet and shaky and she was trying not to pass out. "No one ever stays and no one ever comes back why should you be any different" Her breath was laboured. She attempted a little healing spell on her knee and it stopped the bleeding but the wound was still open and raw.

Merrill screamed in pain as his sword cut into her effectively stopping her from using that arm at all. She raised her good arm, drawing power from the new source of blood and with a gasp she threw him back slamming him against the wall. "You were never going to come back!" She spat at him pulling the katana out of her shoulder holding back another scream. She threw it across the room from him and stood up on shaky legs. "I don't believe that you ever planned to come back! You are a scoundrel and a coward! Always running from place to place, killing innocent people? To prove what?" Merrill was pale from blood loss and unsteady on her feet but she managed to keep standing.

"Hit the nail on the head there, love. That’s me! Petty, arrogant, and fearful!" John was furious. He had words, sure. But he wanted to hurt her. He growled and strained against her magic, muscles flexing and working, but to no avail. “I kept you safe in a new place and this is how you repay?” He laughed. “Remind me to never trust an elf! Much less fuck one! ..If it weren’t for that magic, you’d be a terrible lay.” He had to add that cutting remark, having no other way of fighting. “Bloody fucking hell, let me go or I’ll flay your muscle off the bone!!”
Merrill was starting to realize the gravity of her situation. “If I let you go now you will kill me.” Another cut opened on her other hand when the first cut reached her elbow. “You planned to leave me anyways, your kindness was nothing more than a flicker of humanity and I will give you no credit for that. I should kill you now and save this world and all the others from your heedless violence.”

He was a liar, but that had been the truth. “Do it, then. Go on.. Kill me or set me free. These are your only options, pet.”
Merrill's eyes went wide with fear but her magic held tight. "You're a monster." She could just leave him here trap him with a spell that would wear off in an hour of two.. The second cut had reached her elbow and her magic faltered for a moment. She realised to late that he was stronger than she had thought, all that fighting on his part was like flexing a wounded muscle, it just made her bleed more. She dropped to the floor and made on last effort to put up a magic barrier. "You- you are a liar anyways."

"I’ve never had such a fussy, needy shag!" He shouted angrily as his arms were forced down. "Good luck navigating, love. You’d end up stranded and left for dead in the time vortex with this faulty tech! You may have magic, but you’re a novice!” His eyes flicked down to her arm, noticing the magic climbing up. Blood magic. “Something tells me your magic isn’t going to hold much longer. How much blood can you stand to loose, darling?” He smirked, rage sparking in his eyes. No one threatened his lifestyle.
She didn’t so much smile as she did show her teeth at that. “My magic will last as long as I need it to, I don’t have to use my blood.” She left the implication hanging, as if daring him to insult her again. “I was wrong about you, I thought at least you would have understood why I cannot stay here. If you are any indication of human temperament then you shemlens are still petty, arrogant, fearful creatures.”

Suddenly, he was paralyzed in the grasp of her magic. Fuck. He sneered at her. “What, love? Going to kill me if I don’t take you with me? Trap me here for company? Pathetic.” He spat the words with anger. John didn’t like being tied down. Not in this sense anyway.
The mage forced his arms to his sides. “I could, or I could take your fancy bracelet and leave you here. I could do some good.” At first Merrill had liked John, he seemed kind enough, and patient, they had made love, but she had little patience for cruelty. The cut on her hand was winding its way up her arm slowly, draining her blood as the magic required.

John pulled his shirt on and searched around for his coat in the dim light. “Then stop me.” He found it and put it on before going on the hunt for where he’d left his weapons. He’d had just about enough of babysitting.
She had a mind to stop him, just to prove to him that she could. Merrill got out of bed and shoved past John to the kitchen. She grabbed a knife from the counter and turned to face him. Slowly she drew the knife across her wrist. It wasn’t very sharp and she grimaced at the pain. Dropping the knife she drew her fingers across her palm where her blood was pooling. Raising her hands towards John she took hold of him with her magic, making it impossible for him to move. “You should be more careful of what you ask.”

"It’s not necessity, love. It’s addiction." He looked down at her. "I do it and I enjoy myself. That’s all I ever do is enjoy myself." John slid to the edge of the bed and stood up, getting a bit fed up with the conversation. He found his pants and pulled them back on.
Merrill huffed grabbing the blanket and rolled herself up in it. She thought for a moment that maybe if she explained to him exactly what horrors she committed he would take her seriously. She needed someone, she couldn’t stand to be alone any more and especially not in this place. “I could stop you.”

"Hawke said the same thing about coming with her, I liked it all the same, she let me use my blood magic in battle, it was all very freeing." She sighed, "I know what you said, that doesn’t mean that I have to like it."
John raised an eyebrow. “I kill innocent people and shag anyone with a pulse before passing out in whatever gutter I can find. Does that sound like something that you would find ‘freeing’ to experience?”
"You wouldn’t have to do all those things, we could be a good team you know." She smiled wistfully at the ceiling. "we could see the stars up close and save lives and really help people. Besides, you still haven’t seen exactly why most people fear me, you would be surprised at what horrors I have committed, out of necessity of course."
