The (European) sun is a deadly laser, stay safe everyone

☝️🤓 it’s because the further you move toward the earth’s poles, the lower the angle of the sun is at the hottest parts of the day, meaning the radiation hits your whole body, causing it to feel 10-20 degrees warmer than the thermometer reading will tell you. People from tropical climes, aka close to the equator, are used to the sun’s radiation hitting a much smaller target- their head and shoulders.

Also the further you move toward the poles the more pronounced the difference between the length of day and night is. Worst part of a far-north (or south) heatwave is it doesn’t get dark long enough for meaningful cooling.

It’s not the heat. It very literally is the sun.

Here's a little body reference sheet because I keep forgetting how to draw. 🤷

-I really like the idea of Grace having burns all over his back but not anywhere visible

-He also has a deep gash right on his hairline that's covered by his bangs. He's very glad the hair around It grew back 😮‍💨

-When Rocky found out his food was going to run out it was EVERY Eridian on deck and Grace went a little overboard with his rationing. He has quite a bit of space food left because he wasn't expecting the issue to be solved at all.

-When they found Simon he was COVERED in malignant flesh. Armando was able to remove most of it along with the extra teeth and growths.

-He's covered in angry scar tissue and deals with some nerve damage. He can't feel parts of his body while other parts are very sensitive.

-Occasionally his skin will start to mutate again or grow some extra teeth and he'll have to go back to Armando for a removal 😮‍💨
