In the dark evenings of each week's endings, I find myself gathering my lost thoughts, and loosening my eyes so that I could sleep my sorrows to a different place. This comes with ease in certain conditions. I wish I could cary the same agenda I say I'm going to. I wish there was something other than love to keep me content with what I have. I've only found a couple things that really help with this meta-depression & it's something I try to avoid all too often. New music or old favorites.
In this case, the hero to bring this lovely muse of a feeling out, comes from a place I'm familiar with: The Shoegaze Collective. A thread on facebook, where people of all places share their treasures with each other. As if bound by blood. The earnest passion and expression of sharing the music that is distributed, somehow travels through matter and energy while giving me an honest feeling of Indigo emotions, Shared emotions and taste.
My hero of the evening, Data Unit, brings me a gentle wave of shoegazing air that feels like the very same air you feel on your face when you take flight in your dreams, during your glide across city lighten skies. The floating vibes carry you in a perfect direction your whole listen. In the calm time it takes you to listen to this precious music you might find yourself with a tear, of such you've been needing to get out. I find myself in the beauty of different places & romances carrying the same heavy heart through it all. Though it may seem as if time has stopped, It becomes possible to watch it all fly by.
But enough of this post-emotional jibber/jabber.
François de Benedetti, has struck me into silence tonight. I've listened to all the music his soundcloud has to offer me, within the long amount of time it takes me to write. He is a member in more projects than I can count. All with the heartfelt textures you can only dream of.
