It’s my first day back after break and someone put Old Yeller on the rec room TV this morning so now I’m on damage control.

I have three 2-packs of pepper spray in my backpack. Abuelita gave them to me so I can’t leave them at home, she’ll find them and I’ll get them in the care package next week.

All of the prior events didn’t happen; new timeline.

I’ll revamp the blog and introduce you to the new cast this afternoon, first in-character post goes out tomorrow.

The plan is to actually plot out some posts and put them on a rolling schedule, but it’ll be less of a real time blog (because quarantine) and also the timeline’s gonna be reset.

Goodbye I Guess

I needed a few days to decide if I really should keep this blog up and, no, I shouldn’t.

I’m demanding too much from you as followers and I’m expecting things to be different because I’m not engaging with the community directly.

Which means I didn’t learn my lesson.

I genuinely want my followers to know that this is not on them, they were not why I felt and still feel unwelcome in the community. It was me, expecting to remain friends with people I barely knew, expecting anyone to say something about the unwelcoming environment among content creators that turns fans away from sharing their work out of fear that no one will like it, expecting too much from fans when I thought all I needed was encouragement.

But I’m still angry, and I feel selfish about it. I feel selfish that the final straw was that it seemed like a content creator I considered a friend wouldn’t acknowledge my work and never did. I feel selfish that I’m expecting people to bring up anything. I guess when you leave quietly it makes your departure an uneventful note in the day.

But it doesn’t matter anymore. This was my last half-assed attempt at staying on Tumblr within arm’s reach of the community here that I used to love so much. If you want to keep up with me still and you know, talk, I’m still on Twitter @LawfulEvil_DM.
