There is taken a piece of stone, there is cut with a chisel of blood, there is polished with the eye of Homer, there is scraped with rays, until the cube becomes perfect. Then, there is kissed by innumerable times the cube with your mouth, with others’ mouth and especially with the mouth of the infant. After that there is taken a hammer and suddenly there is broken a corner of the cube. Everybody, but absolutely everybody, will say: what a perfect cube it would have been that if it had not had a broken corner.
