Seed and Forage guides, approved and uploaded!!
Feeling like a proud mom right now.
This forage guide has taken my heart from the very beginning, it’s time to let it go… to print that is.
SO close to the finalization of the forage guide! This puppy has taught me so much and has been my favorite part of my MFA Ag Experience.
Pull up banners and ice cream, happy Friday!
Remember those top 5 reasons for fall fertilizer application?
Here is the progression of this project, which is now completed and ready for handout!
For being an Agribusiness major, I’m honestly very happy with the amount of red ink on this.
Forage Guide is so close to being done, I can almost taste it!
We have moved on to the Seed Guide project. Guide work is quite lengthy.
What a pretty cup!!
Steve Fleming is the next Vanna White everyone.
Last week was the Grand Opening of MFA’s Rail Facility in Hamilton, MO. It was an exciting three days exploring the area, learning about the facility, and chatting with MFA employees and the public!
The interns stayed busy parking cars, greeting guests, taking plates, cleaning and drinking lots and lots of water (it was a hot one).
Definitely a highlight of the summer! Plus, those bins are GINORMOUS.
Two weeks ago, I had the privilege of attending the Missouri State Fair’s Kick-Off Party!
MFA is a proud sponsor of the state fair, and it was such a fun time getting a little taste of all that is to come (just look at those fresh potato chips!).
WHEW! What an exciting 2 days it has been for MFA! The MFA Rail Facility opened in Hamilton, making it the single largest investment for MFA. It was a busy two days of photos, interviews, videos, talking with local farmers, discussing the importance of advancing the future of agriculture, and of course…. drinking water. My photo boards were on display with positive comments, I climbed the top of the bins and got to experience the amazing view (but didn’t make it to the VERY top), AND got to have some amazing memories with my fellow interns! What a great experience!
Who knew there were so many weeds, pests, fungi, and disease that could attack your lawn and garden?
Today I spent my morning at the Lawn and Garden Special Committee Meeting learning just that, plus products MFA offers to treat them!
Who knew there were so many ways to treat ponds?
I spent my morning at the Aquatics Special Committee Meeting learning just that!
This might be the 3rd time we’ve had Andy’s this week. Celebrating National Dairy Month the right way!
Agriculture and Andy’s, how could I complain?
In March, the Farm Supply Display Contest celebrated its 5 year anniversary!
Today I spent time writing letters to each location. I expressed my gratitude for their participation, and sent a manual with 6 simple steps on completing a display.
Many of these stores go above and beyond what we ask for their displays. It is so exciting to see their photos and with time, I hope to see over 50% of the stores competing. Not only do you create a rockin’ display for your store, but you get to promote items and increase sale margins!
‘Tis the season
MFA offers a variety of specialty products, including orchard and vineyard products.
Today I had the opportunity to sit in on a meeting of the Vineyard Special Committee. Discussion included ways to better serve customers and grow as the market continues to expand.
We enjoyed the gorgeous day at White Mule Winery (very appropriate location for a vineyard meeting, right?) and explored some grape vines!
