How It Started For Loretta & Oliver vs. How It's Going
Oliver and Loretta deserve the world ♥️
ONLY MURDERS IN THE BUILDING — 4.10 'My Best Friend's Wedding' Martin Short as Oliver Durkin-Putnam (?) Meryl Streep as Loretta Durkin-Putnam
Say "I love you" it's too basic for them, I see.
The victim will be... Jan: connection to season 1, hence opportunity to reflect on the way the trio has been through and finally investigate on the stalker. She has escaped from prison, Williams mentioned it as well, but we haven't heard about her for a while. A great opportunity to find out what has made her who she is. Teddy: important person for Oliver from his past from the period of his life he's obsessed with (analogy with Tim to Mabel and Sazz for Charles). Deli sponsor mentioned. Chance to develop Theo, his relationships with Mabel and probably Will.
Uma: she's always been there, there have already been some glimpses of her feelings behind all this sarcasm, we don't now much about her and her past apart of friendship with Bunny, she's exisisting more than living and an interesting character to develop
I believe the new victim will be either Uma, Teddy or Jan
I think it's a common thing for a man to act gayer than ever (if it's even possible in Oliver's case) a couple of days before his straight wedding. The way Oliver talks about dancing topless on the table with Ron Howard and seeing his nipples? "Old married couple" with Charles? This whole touching Olicharles drama??? How much they can't live without each other??? I love my boys. Oliver you will never not be iconic
Charles and Oliver in this episode were just genuine Steve and Marty saying how much they love each other and it's perfect
one thing i do love about omitb is the way they handle the found family trope. because i have been noticing a sort of trend where writers are clearly seeing that the trope is greatly appealling to people and chuck in 'we're family' every damn second, but omitb shows a more natural yet unlikely friendship between them rather than forcing them into typical familial roles. like when tobert asks mabel what charles and oliver are to her, including 'your weird dads?' and she says no, they're my best buds. not only do i like that they show intergenerational friendships that aren't creepy (something which unfortunately is still a common notion), but they're also showing that it doesn't always fit into a parental dynamic. charles and oliver care about mabel like fathers but its still important that they're friends and thus on a similar level
heartbroken look Charles had when he found out Oliver wants to change his emergency contact KILLED ME
"We used to be three lonely weirdos living in the Arconia. The podcast brought us together. I don't wanna use it to tear them apart". 📌
This is so important to me (and all fandom oc!!) They've always put the found family trope, but it is so beautiful when all characters and story itself become aware of what they mean for us. 🥹
Just started reading Sherlock Holmes and all the adaptations are wrong. This man is a delight. He gets excited about hemoglobin and is ecstatic at the thought of Watson as a roommate. He purposefully forgets how the solar system works so he has more room in his brain for crime. He shows Watson the dirt stains on his trousers and he can tell what part of London they come from based on color and consistency. (As far as i can tell Watson didn't ask, Sherlock just gets back from walks and tells Watson about the stains unprompted.) The text specifically says "Holmes was certainly not a difficult man to live with." Why does every adaptation make him unpleasant and rude, he's literally just eccentric. He's such a goober, I love him.
And btw WHY DIS IS SO HILARIOUS 😭😭😭😭
The meaning of the murder in the show, or why Loretta will be fine
(i believe) am I being pretentious?
