I made peanut butter cookies to kick off my holiday baking! These yummy cookies are crispy on the outside and soft and chewy in the middle. I put red and green sprinkles and a little bit of white sugar on top. This is one of my many Christmas cookie recipes, but also one of my favorites!
I know thanksgiving is over but I didn’t have time to post. The recipe I used has been in the family for a while, my grandma taught my mom then she taught me, I hope I can pass it down to my kid one day. My grandma lives in Arkansas so yep there is butter and a lot of it, and other spices I’m not aloud to tell you (family secret lol). Every year after we season the turkey with this recipe, it comes out delicious!!! It’s very moist and juicy, and has great flavor from our secret seasoning and (this might be gross) the skin is crispy. I love this recipe and I can’t wait for next thanksgiving for more of this very delicious turkey! Hope everyone had a great thanksgiving!!!
I went to my favorite BBQ restaurant Famous Dave’s this weekend, and had this yummy plate. I got the hot link sausage Dinner. It comes with two hot links, corn bread and 2 sides. I chose corn on the cob and potato salad, I’m not a fan of corn bread so i gave it to my mother, that’s why its not in the picture. The hot links are my favorite dish at Famous Dave’s, the hot link is not too spicy but it does have a kick to it. I added one of their many BBQ sauces called rich & sassy. Its a sweet and zesty sauce, so it cuts out a little bit of the heat from the hot link. The potato salad is my must have from this restaurant. Its a classic southern potato salad with just the right amount of sweetness form the sweet pickle in it.This is a must try if you ever decide to go to Famous Dave’s.
This is my first time making pumpkin bread, and I think it came out great! The recipe has cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg and ginger so this bread is full of flavor. I gave some to my best friend and also to my brother, and they both loved it! My pumpkin fanatic brother of mine loved it, and he is very picky about his pumpkin. lol I am so happy with the way it turned out, and I can't wait to make this recipe again.
Day of the dead Mickey and Minnie sugar skull rice Krispy treats at Disneyland!!! These yummy, sugary, buttery, crispy, marshmallow goodies are one of my favorite treats at Disneyland! The cute sugar skull designs make this treat a lot of fun and even more delicious! This is a must have when visiting Disneyland!
If you love chimichangas but not all the fat from frying them, then you have to try these delicious ones! Ok, so there are not all that much better for you then the fried ones, but they are super fast to make for those crazy busy days. These baked chimichangas are super easy to make and not too expensive ( which is alway a plus). They have the crunch like the fried ones, and have potatoes and cheese. I made these for my family tonight and they have become one of our favorite fast dinners.
I made short bread cookies for my best friend’s birthday. She loves pigs so of course I had to get my piggy cookie cutter out. I used pink sugar crystals, heart shaped sprinkles, and red, white, and pink pearl sprinkles. She loved them and said they were delicious!! This is my grandma’s recipe and these are my favorite cookies to make. Who wouldn’t want a cookie shaped like a piggy!!!!
I made banana nut muffins today!! I found a basic recipe online, but it sounded kinda boring. So I decided to add nutmeg, cinnamon, and walnuts to make it just a little more fun. My mother is a big banana nut muffins fan,and she loved these!!! So they will definitely make any banana nut fan happy.
Happy birthday to me ! Yep more pumpkin stuff, but this time it only looks like a pumpkin. I got a Baskin- Robbins ice cream cake, Its chocolate cake with cookies and cream ice cream, and a whipped frosting so yummy!
🎶Let out a scream hooray it's Halloween 🎶 Went to Disneyland this week. Out of all the yummy treats they had I picked the Mickey Mouse bat cookie. It’s a light shortbread cookie dipped in milk chocolate, drizzled with orange white chocolate and a white chocolate Mickey face yummy! This is definitely one of my favorite Halloween treats at Disneyland.
I made pumpkin chocolate chip cakes for my birthday. As you can tell I’m a big pumpkin fan and who doesn’t love chocolate. There’s a perfect amount of pumpkin, not to powerful and not to weak. This cake screams fall and Halloween time. So delicious !!!!🎃
Fall is officially here!!! So of course I had to make something pumpkin. I made these awesome pumpkin spice cookies today. They are made with real pumpkin! They also have cinnamon, cloves, and nutmeg. Topped with a simple glaze made out of milk, melted butter, vanilla ,and powder sugar, these cookies are perfect for any pumpkin lover!!!
I went to Disneyland yesterday and had this delicious plate for dinner. Its two cheese enchiladas with red sauce and one pork tamale with salsa verde. and of course spanish rice and beans!!! The tamale is definitely my favorite item on this plate. The tamale was not dry, and the masa was soft and moist. The pork had the perfect amount out spice, and was topped with salsa verde, and cheese. Rancho del Zocalo is one of my favorite places to dine at when visiting Disneyland. If you want to try the tamale platter, you better hurry because its only sold for the holiday seasons!!!
I have the Disney blues this morning. Good thing i have a Mickey waffle maker!!! So I'm not Chef Goofy, but i thought I’d give it a shot. These cute little waffles have a special ingredient.... PUMPKIN SPICE!!!! And don't forget the cinnamon! They came out delicious, and the Mickey shape adds just enough disney to cure my disney blues. I made a basic butter milk waffle, and added pumpkin spice and cinnamon to make them extra fun. My family loved them and my pumpkin fanatic brother had to have seconds.
This is my very first time making gumpaste roses. I am very pleased on how they turned out. I colored some light pink with petal dust and used steam to set the color. I love how soft the color looks after steaming, and the light sparkle gives it a cute, but not over done look. I used spaghetti for the base instead of a tooth pick, just in case it breaks inside the cake I won't have to worry about someone getting hurt from the toothpick. For my first try, I think they came out very pretty and elegant. These were definitely a challenge to make, but I'm glade I made them. I learned a lot about working with gumpaste and can’t wait to see how they will come out next time!
My niece’s birthday cake i made!!! Its two 9 inch round chocolate, chocolate chip cakes, covered in homemade buttercream yummy!!! Joy is a frozen buttercream transfer and I bought a set of inside out party rings for decoration. I used a star tip size 16 from wilton, for both top and bottom borders and both borders are E borders. My niece loved the cake!!! And she couldn’t wait to share the rings with her friends.
