The Madagascar Plan was a proposal by Nazi Germany in 1940 to deport a million jews per year to the island of Madagascar. ONE million per year. They dehumanize the population, pretend like millions of people are committing crimes and that you HAVE to do it so that you can put more and more of them into some fucking shitty hastily made concentrated camps. This all takes a massive amount of resources to begin with, and even more to maintain. The conditions of these camps becomes more and more dire, obviously you’ll have some suspicious deaths, and eventually you have a decision to make. Do you literally enslave everyone in these camps? You’ll still have to continuously feed them, but you’ll want to make sure not to feed them too much or they will be strong enough to fight back. You also can’t give them any tools that could be used as weapons, so this forced labor won’t end up generating more value than the cost to keep everyone enslaved. At some point, you have to come up with a solution for millions of undesirables. In 1942, Nazi Germany ended up with The Final Solution.
How the fuck are there people in power claiming we’ll be deporting 20 MILLION people? How are the masses convinced the majority of these people are rapists and drug dealers? How the FUCK is the media recontextualizing a billionaire oligarch’s Nazi salute?
