he shouldnât have been surprised to hear her exuberant reply. the explanation that followed her hello to him helped paint the picture a little easier. he couldnât blame her for wanted to have a little fun. â i wouldnât just you either way.â he countered gently. even if she had been enjoying the fighting. the people doing the fighting seemed to be enjoying so it had to count for something. âi know how stressful life can get sometimes. itâs nice to just be able to enjoy yourself among people that are also enjoying themselves.â he paused for a moment take a drink again before nodding. âsummer was great and i am doing well. how are you? I feel like it has been too long.â
âNor would I judge you. Are you here for the fighting, though?â Mia asked, a little surprised by Julienâs presence that evening. It didnât super feel like his scene, but then again they were friends but not besties, so she only had her preconceived notions about him to go off of.
âYeah, thatâs totally it. Itâs great to have fun with other people having fun,â she agreed, mentally only half-agreeing. A big part of the reason why she was there in the first place was because she didnât want to miss out on any gossip that could result from the evening. Not showing up to the social event of homecoming week was not the move, but luckily she soon had another question from Julien to keep her from word-vomiting her true intentions for that evening.
âIâm fine. Everythingâs fine. My brotherâs king now and my dadâs still judging me like fashion design isnât an actual major but, you know, same old. Just minus the sorority this year. Which is totally fine since I quit and then greek life was coincidentally completely cancelled.â
